Is the clock ticking on the Sorcerer Mickey Hat icon at the Studios? YES!

I'm bummed hearing about the stage, but I expected it. It's been talked about. I just hope it's something that's both permanent, yet blends in, and the garish elements, if any, can be taken down when not in use.

Yes the thread has badly drifted, but it was just a few posts this time and now we're back on topic.

So no horror movie stuff? Cause the other guy said there was a small horror section. I'm just checking cause don't want to take a little girl on anything scary, she is easily frightened.
You stated that HM was OK, then all that is necessary, if surprise is the problem, is simply explain ahead of time that a funny looking creature shows up and drools like a baby. That should take all the scariness away. Head it off at the pass. If she likes things like the Wizard of Oz, then it is worth the couple of minutes of explanation. I might also recommend looking on You Tube for a ride through video. That should tell you all you need to know.

If we are truly getting a stage in the near future where is the permit for it?

In effort to make quick transition and keep some new park elements a surprise, the stage platform and hydraulic lifts are being pre-fab and fitted off site and will be installed in just one weeks time. The retractable lighting rigs will be permitted ahead of that as pits must be dug and electrical / data lines setup before their installation... o_O :arghh: If only....

I watched a YouTube vid of the full ride. I have already decided my evil aunt plan. Tell her its Stitch's deformed cousin ;). She has seen the Wizard of Oz so yes she should enjoy that part. But now part of me is worried about the monster part. It just seemed really dark in there. Its a mixture of surprise & creepiness with her.

In an effort to make the world's most advanced theme park stages, Walt Disney World is undergoing a complete central hub redevelopment at Disney's Hollywood Studios. The innovative center piece will be a highly advanced stage for live entertainment. The stage will primarily be used during the new Star Wars Weekends+ and Frozen Summer Fun+. Disney expects guests to experience this new state of the art attraction as early as Spring 2016 alongside the brand new Frozen attraction at Epcot. :p:oops::hilarious:

I did back a few years ago. Google image search "If you can dream it, you can do it" and theres a few whole pages that all have Walt's name under the quote. The current generation does for sure, but they didn't see horizons like many people on this site have. I've unfortunately only seen YT ride-throughs..

Yep this is correct, all the CPs seem to think Walt said it.

I suspect somewhere along the line someone accidentally posted a picture of Walt with the quote and now there's a whole generation who use it and have no memory of Horizons, no idea that it was actually the General Electric slogan (when they sponsored Horizons), but attribute it to Walt.

The alien animatronic is usually broken and in the ceiling so half the people don't even notice it, so I'm sure she'd be fine. Just tell her here's the scary loud dark bit, it's over quickly.

Tip #1: NEVER tell a kid there's a loud scary part. Leads to overreactions & freak outs. Thanks for your advice, but I think i'll stick with 'its stitch's deformed cousin!' bit.

I think he said something close to those lines before, but not that EXACT quote.
