Is the clock ticking on the Sorcerer Mickey Hat icon at the Studios? YES!

Sorry Goof, I probably should have explained more. My 6 year old son is autistic...on all our previous trips, we have given him a picture flip book and used the hat as the icon for HS. I have already printed out a picture of the theater for our upcoming trip, so just hoping he can adapt to the change!!

But I agree. My 9 year old (my future actress) will definitely appreciate the history and importance of the theater :)
I would bet that if little or no emphasis is put on it, it will be, at most, a minor problem. Good luck!

And that, ladies and gentlemen who loved the hat, is why so many of us have been so in favour of getting rid of it for so long. Case closed.
completely agree.... That ride was hidden and it was so ridiculous to put that hat there and hide the Chinese Theatre. It was like if they had put a huge thing in front of Cinderella Castle. Made no sense. And I cant wait for the updates to the movie ride. The deal with the classic movies is going to open up so much for them... Make the focal point back where it belongs, better for nighttime fireworks if they want to add some...better for parade routes...I hope some crazy huge stage isn't put in there...

Agree... I think they really want to get that park back to its original theme...movies. And I cant wait for Pixar lane/cars land if that is really coming.. and I hope it is with the Lasseter visit a few months back. That park needs to get rid of honey I shrunk, update that. It needs some love. We were there when it opened in 89...Was so cool but they just haven't done much since they expanded the rocknrollercoaster, tower of terror areas.

I know not much would have happened, but any pictures from this morning at the work site? The bottom of the ears and the support columns should be gone by now if they worked last night.

For some reason the Carousel of Progress song is playing in my mind when watching the video.. haha

There’s a great, big, beautiful tomorrow
Shining at the end of every day
There’s a great, big, beautiful tomorrow
And tomorrow’s just a dream away
Man has a dream and that’s the start
He follows his dream with mind and heart
And when it becomes a reality
It’s a dream come true for you and me
So there’s a great, big, beautiful tomorrow
Shining at the end of every day
There’s a great, big, beautiful tomorrow
Just a dream away
Now is the time.
Now is the best time.
Now is the best time of your life.
Life is a prize, live every minute.
Open your eyes and watch how you win it!
Yesterday's memories may sparkle and gleam,
tomorrow is still but a dream.
Right here and now,
you've got it made.
The world's forward marching and you're in the parade!
Now is the time.
Now is the best time.
Be it a time of joy or strife.
There's so much to cheer for, be glad you're here.
For it's the best time of your life.

For me it was: "Hit The Road, Jack. And Don't 'Cha Come Back No More, No More, No More, No More..."

And whoever chose that musical piece for that video clearly misses the entire point of what they were filming. This isn't a funeral...this is a new beginning. Rejoice!!!

Well, those lights explain why the bottom of the roof is more 'weathered' than the top. The heat from the lights must be affecting the lining somehow. I forgot the roof even had lights... lol.

On another note, I've noticed on some pictures that the left and right sides of the theatre are different colours. I mean, the darker strips. On one side, they are a different colour. How has that happened if the BAH wasn't causing a shadow to fall over the theatre?

OH and I almost forgot to celebrate!
HURRAH! THE BAH IS GONE! TODAY IS A SUPER AWESOME DAY!!

Being one that saw the park before the BAH was installed, I am happy to see it back to normal. But whoa! TGMR needs some lighting fixed and paint! eeek

edit: forgot the G in The Great Movie Ride abreviation.. maybe it was intentional?
