Is the clock ticking on the Sorcerer Mickey Hat icon at the Studios? YES!

Want it too. We have too many Disney mugs as it is though.

So, what did this hat really look like in person? I have not been to this park since 1992, so I haven't ever even seen the hat.

Umm... big... and blue? ;) Couldn't pass up the chance.

Real conversation last night with a friend who was clueless about the hat removal...

Me: So, you know that BAH down there in Hollywood Studios?

Friend: Oh God yes, that horrific thing? What about it? Did it fall down on somebody?

Me: Not exactly, they're tearing it down.

Friend: THANK. GOD.
Yeah, my Disney-obsessed friend was excited when I told her about it—and she has never seen the park without it.

The appreciation of theming blot test...

Which shows the demolition of a properly themed structure (onset of depression and angry thoughts or feelings are common with such an image)?

If you answered A, good job! You appreciate and understand good theming! If you answered B...you should have answered A. The BAH is not theming. It is decoration. Sorry!

Those are the strangest looking blots I've ever seen. I could swear there are people, and even a wheel chair in the second one.

You know, I had never really looked at Horizons demo photos in too much detail until tonight, mainly because my first visit to EPCOT wasn't until 03. But now looking back, its horrifying what they did to such a grand embodiment of the true spirit of the World's Fair and EPCOT Center. :(

You know, according to some people around here, posting that first image should be a ban-able offense. ;)

kinda like having fireworks at a funeral...lol...kinda gruesome in some small way to me!

Slightly off topic, but... :cautious:
A few years back, when I was CM at our local Disney Store, a friend of our ASM (Assistant Store Mgr.) passed away. A few weeks later, as per the decedents request before he passed, they had a party/memorial in his honor on the property of another friend that had a small lake on it. They BBQ'd, they drank, etc. At the end of the night there was a fireworks display over the lake. The kicker...the dear departed friends ashes, as per his request, NO JOKE, were in the custom made fireworks...!!! :joyfull:

Not gonna lie, that's an awesome way to go.
