Upon looking at a can - you are correct it's "Cover the Earth" my bad
Dang, would be nice if they'd toss some new paint up on the Great Movie Ride while they were partying. After hours event tonight for Sherwin Wolliams paint.
It's no secret I thought the hat looked a whole lot better than the theater. But i'm resigned to knowing the theater will be the view from now on, no 'icon' will be built in it's place, and I'm fine with that. It will be nice to have that area back... or, let's hope Disney restores that area. It used to have very pretty gardens.
It's not about being vibrant... It's about telling a story. Unfortunately a lot of "newer" fans don't seem to understand that.Yes, the hat was grossly misplaced. However, it certainly did look more vibrant (in it's prime) than the theatre ever did.
I *love* the effects shot at 18 seconds in on this video:

How? It looks exactly like the real building, which is an icon all on it's own. I'm sorry that they didn't throw glitter and feathers on it.I do value story, and agree with your point, but they could've "plussed" the theatre a little more in the original designing process.

Maybe they should have went the other way, constructed more large hats and renamed it Disney Hat Studios. The acronyms around here still would work! And I think that right there is the thing I and others who loved the hat really don't get. I've never been a fan of Hollywood, and even though I'd have given my left arm to be a director back when I was in college, the 'glamour' thing and self-celebration of all things Hollywood just makes me sick. So, the story of the street really just passes me by.
So because you don't like the theme we should ruin it for others is what you're saying? And I think that right there is the thing I and others who loved the hat really don't get. Then I can only assume MSUSA is just a walkway to the real fun?Not at all. Not sure how you derived that.
I simply said I was agreeing that I don't get the "Wow factor" that others get when walking down Hollywood boulevard there and seeing the stores and Theater.
Well then the point of half of DHS is lost on you isn't it?Not at all. Not sure how you derived that.

The good half, too. The half that will largely be untouched by the park remodel because it aesthetically and thematically works.Well then the point of half of DHS is lost on you isn't it?
