Is Stitch's Great Escape REALLY that bad?

I'd go so far as to say if it were in any WDW park beside MK, it would still be around. Let's face it- MK has a "safe" reputation. Even the thrill rides aren't scary. AE was SCARY, at least compared to everything else.

Absolutely. Its the same reason why you'll never see Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy in the Magic Kingdom (even if MK'S Space Mountain had the necesary infrastructure) - it would be too scary for the kids.

Not to mention in AE, S.I.R. literally has an orgasm when he's activated. Y'know, when he goes "Ahh..."
Disney should have done something with S.I.R. I mean, I like Sergeant 90210, but S.I.R. is kinda better.
Maybe they could've had S.I.R. and Sarge as a comedy duo. Sort of like Hopper and Molt from "A Bug's Life".

(Well, okay, Hopper wasn't a comedic character, but you get the picture)

We are big fans of the Lilo and Stitch series. We even recorded the T V episodes when it was on Disney Channel. This is one of the absolute worst attractions at any Disney Park ever!.Without comparing it to Alien Encounter, which I did once a long time ago, this is a bad layover hastily put together by some unimaginative Imagineers during the era when the bean counters were running the show and not the artists. Stitch deserves so much better than the trash they are trying to pass off as an attraction. Kids aren't even amused by it,

I never rode it, but my sister did. She didn't like how the shoulder restraints felt, but she found the ending to the show "clever and funny". Thank god I never rode it because the restraints would be bad on my arthritis.

... You know the Haunted Mansion has a character that hung himself, right? At best, SIR is a cartoony second banana villain. A very well done cartoony second banana villain, admittedly.

SIR isn't that cartoony.
The plucky, cute comedy hero annoys him, so he tortures him.
Then he annihilates him.
There's no comeuppance for SIR. He wins, then continues his pitch. It was one of the most unapologetically dark scenes in the history of theme parks.

The shoulder restraints make me extremely angry. I feel like they press down even harder during the show... makes it hard to enjoy the animatronic.

The effects-- Stitch spitting and burping-- are just dreadful. Got "spit on" and felt queasy for the rest of the show. And for some reason, the show building smells awful. (Is it really the chili smell?)

There are some good parts, but the experience is pretty unpleasant.

I took some better pictures for you of the disgusting residue.
The seats are revolting.

Actually what that white stuff is, is just simply water minerals from the water effects. Nothing too bad to be worried about, here is an image of the seat with the white water minerals from past shows that I took.
