I know a place where whining doesn't happen as much, but here's what happens, and this is childish really, www.______________.com, now notice when I do another site like www.laughingplace.com it doesn't block it out. Isn't that wrong?
What are you trying to type in that URL. This forum blocks some strange words, that could be either offensive, or part of an offensive word. It's not because it is "the competition"
As far as whining, it's a two headed beast, and we have both heads around here.
Case in point, the thread about person who was upset about not getting a notification his shirt was not printed.
He did not whine, or rail, or say anything excessive. He said he ordered a shirt, and the order was cancelled (because of a mistake he made) but nobody told him the order was cancelled - they just said it was complete.
A number of people then jumped down his throat. Making snide passive/agressive comments, pointing out how he was wrong, and questioning the validity of his original post.
While there are people here who will nit-pick and decry everything Disney does, there are others who will jump in to smack down anyone who says the least bad thing about Disney.
I try to present both sides of the picture. They is nothing wrong with calling out a problem when it is a problem, just as there is nothing wrong with parise where praise is due.
The thing I see a lot of people doing is stating a fact, and then attaching speculation to it as additional fact. Such as "SGE is in a poor state of repair" - thats a fact - "because they don't care about it, and want to run it into the ground before they replace it" thats opinion. It may be true, but until somone gets me proof or inside information, then it is not a fact.
