Is it just me, or is the other WDW board almost entirely 42-year old housewives from Michigan who have two teenagers and only post about their cats and American Idol?

Not that there's anything wrong with 42-year old housewives from Michigan who have two teenagers and only post about their cats and American Idol, but still. Just an observation...

Well, there's more than one "other" WDW board, but you described Disboards perfectly. :lookaroun

Yeah, it's been said before they should change the name to DisMoms.com.

Yeah, it's just you and I'll tell you why.

I am not a 42 year old housewife. (only 41, thank you)

I am not from Michigan. (seriously, I am from a completely different country altogether... Texas)

I am not the mother of two teenagers. (only one teenager, the other is getting there, fast)

What's wrong with my cats?

American Idol, pahlease! It's Survivor.

Maybe they're all the same 42-year-old housewife from Michigan who has two teenagers and only posts about her cats and American Idol.

That's what's so great about the internet, there is something out there for everyone. No need for us to complain about other Disney sites, there's plenty of room for everyone.

I've only posted in this "other" Disney Board one time...

I am amazed at how many graphics people have there, it's kind of an eyesore...

And the amount of board topics they have gives me a headache...

They actually have a board just for people to announce their excitedness towards their Disney trip...

When I go to some of the "other" Disney boards ( not disboards ) it takes forever to load a simple thread page because of all of the graphics people display in their signatures and avatars. It seriously gives you a head ache.

Indeed, it seems to be a ladies chat fest rather than a Disney forum. They spend a great deal of time giving and receiving advice about their cats, children, soap opera stuff, Oprah, Dr. Phil, the Atkins diet and cheating husbands (and other inane topics) but very little time about Disney discussion.

It is imperative to turn off the signatures and the avatars on that site, otherwise you'll go blind! I sometimes (but rarely) pick up some good information from that site. It gets funny when the women start to have their hormonal problems and go into attack mode.

They had a thread about tattoos not too long ago. A lady wanted to get a tattoo and asked the forum members for options. When the OP was told that a tattoo on a female is nothing more than a "tramp stamp", all heck broke loose. A real cat fight ensued.

Whoa, that actually makes me wanna join Disboards! But I won't. I'd never join a site that shuns WDWmagic.
