Is Epcot forever done for good?

If EF can’t return until let’s say Spring 2021, and Harm is ready by then, will that change their plans of returning EF and just debut Harm?

Summer 2021 is my guesstimate.
Late Spring, perhaps.

It will then be poised to be able to be marketed as a new experience 'just in time' for the 50th Anniversary bandwagon.
A already designed and 'paid for' Show that can then be used as a draw to entice more people to visit during the promoted celebration period.

True, but I’m thinking if they were planning on returning EF before Harm debuts, and it turns out that nighttime shows can’t resume until Spring or summer, worst case hopefully, then they might not bring back EF? Or would they push out Harms debut even further, to fall if they have to in order to give EF one last run?

'Epcot Forever' was always planned to be only a temporary offering to fill the night time performance gap with....something.....while 'Harmonius' was getting ready to roll out.

Based on the general feedback Guests and Park fans have given over the last ten months regarding their opinions of 'Epcot Forever', I don't think many would be disappointed if it just ended without any fanfare.

The temporary show will run until 'Harmonius' is ready.
I believe that was the plan pre-Covid Apocolyse.
When the time comes for the Parks to be able to do night time presentations again, 'Epcot Forever' may again run for a time.
It all depends on when the night spectacles are able to return, and when 'Harmonius' gets to the point where it is ready to debut.

In the wake of very contagious respiratory virus, they may decide to forgo the air pollution inherent in fireworks displays and instead concentrate more on laser light and projection shows.

If Epcot Forever comes back for even a little bit, I’m thinking they might want to push the debut of HarmoniUs to October 2021 for more 50th advertising.

The biggest factor is going to be when Disney is comfortable bringing back nighttime entertainment.
