Rumor Is Dreamfinder, the roving M&G, coming back to Epcot soon?

Having meetable Dreamfinder would be a pretty easy to pull of special event for the 50th. I wonder how easy it would be to redo JUST the projection/screens in the ride to replace Eric Idle with him too. Seems like a cheap way to get fans excited and add something special for the anniversary of the resort.
You'd have to do more then that considering how Eric Idle and Dreamfinder are polar opposites in terms of character and relationships with Figment.

The refurb'd ride could be about the different ways you can give eviction notices to someone. You can yell at them, you can let them read the paper, you can sabotage their house to smell like..., you can physically turn their house upside down which would ruin their life, and for the grand finale, you can blow them up... with your imagination. Of course. Sure.

Wait, that took a really dark twist there towards the end.

Agreed, more would have to be done. A lot of set retheming would need to happen and removal of all the empty space would be a bonus.

I would depict him more of a villian instead....

Well Disney is good at sending their "senior citizens" eviction notices so they have plenty of content to pull from. And at the end, they might even get a headstone in a nice cemetery overlooking the queue for HM.

They gave him a door instead..

The saddest thing about that is you can tell where they just stopped. "Let's put theming about 2 feet past the door and stop. No one will ever look up to see black nothingness!". You typically can't see the tops of the sets due to show lighting, but my point still stands. It screams low effort when compared to the large, encompassing sets of V1.

Agree 100%. My sister is autstic and rides Imagination 7 or 8 times in a row each day we are at epcot and having ridden this version 8 times in a row you notice how much of the space is blank and unfinished. Visually if you look anywhere other then where figment is in a room you realize how hollow an attraction it is.

It brought figment back to the public?
And it got rid of a somehow even worse ride in terms of story and sets. There were literally parts with nothing there aside from a small set piece. Example: The light panel part. Literally nothing except for 2 big panels as your track zigzags for no reason. At least we have a lab setting now, even if it is pretty crap. Go to 12:40 in Martins video to see how crap the ride was. I recommend watching the entire thing because...well it's a Martin video. And it's a short one too.

Seeing Figment on the screens over the queue got me so excited when I came back to WDW right after V2 opened. The ending was multiple levels of Wednesday Thursday Friday. Being teased with Figment at the end made me think the ride was going to become good and we were going to go on an adventure. The level of disappointment I had when it was over was really something else.

But to longtime and hardcore Disney fans it sure ain't the Figment we know and love.
Don't I know it. I wasn't able to see the original figment, ending in the 90's and all, but I've over educated myself on his vast history.

The concept of the ride is good in my opinion, just nothing else about it is.

I've seen the video all right! Although doesn't V2 have a more accurate setting when compared to the pre shows in Honey I Shrunk the Audience?
