Is blue best for Future World?

Now that they are repainting the FountainView at Epcot a blue/lavendar color. I wonder if they will paint the rest of Innoventions Plaza similarly.

With Project Tomorrow and the entrance to SSE using different shades of blue. I find all this silver/blue/ etc much more appealing than the salmon and pink color scheme they used in the late 90s.

I did a photoshop of the earthstation for the 25th anniversary in a new lavendarish color scheme. Thoughts?

I think it looks pretty nice and the color seems to have the effect of "cooling" you down. The salmon scheme now seems to make the plaza feel arid and warm. Wasn't the back of EarthStation blue before the 90's color scheme came in anyways?

Earthstation and all the legs of SSE were originally powder blue....but by 1994/95 years of sun exposure bleached them to practically white.

I think that cool side of the color scheme (green, blue, purple, silver, white) seems more modern and futuristic. I mean, I know that Tomorrowland uses a little of those colors and it seems to really do the job!

ps- You missed a little under that palm tree...i see salmon peeking! :-p

I would love to see a color scheme change in Future World...It might sctually make all the tarps and flashy doodads look good.

But of course I always prefer the "Spartin Look".

As an EPCOT center lover I would love the return to the blue and purple color schemes throughout future world! I especially miss the shade of purple used on the Imagination logo.

I just saw the new blue on the Foutainview and I thought it looked really good and it was similar if not the exact color that Earthstation used to be (pre 94). I hope they paint all of Innoventions that blue.

Completely agree with you on this and I think the blue would also go nicely with the new innoventions signs

Nice job on the photoshop. Below is shot from 1994 that shows Earthstation with the original blue.

I remember seeing those lawnmover robots. I thought they were so amazing back then - hard to believe they are a relatively commonplace item nowadays.

Wow, I hadn't thought about those little robots in a while. I remember seeing those way back when.

Using different shades of blue, etc.(cool colors) is a very good choice. Is it me or does the above pic looks totally lavendar? Not sure I care for that. Its better than the salmon/orange looking colors though.

Also, slight drift here, but I hope they bring some very dramatic lighting effects into play to transform all the parks after dark. Is it my imagination or has that really been missing in recent years not only at EPCOT but at all the parks?

I have to say only a few days ago I was looking at Innoventions (it sounds great to say that) and thought how ugly the salmon colour is. I also looked at the Guest Relations exterior and thought how boring it looked - it is so close to vintage 1982. Perhaps a compromise would be good. Removing a lot of the clutter of course.
