Is Beaches & Cream counter service or table service?

When I looked at the dining plan pdf it shows Beaches & Cream as a table service restaurant but when I try to book there on the on-line dining it is not listed. Does anybody know if it is table or counter service?

Thanks!

The restaurant itself is table service and does not take reservations. If you are planning on using the dining plan, this is not a very good options because of the prices. The counter service aspect is only for a limited selection of ice cream.

Is it exceptionally busy? Is it hard to get in for table service since they don't take reservations?

If you go during normal eating times for lunch or dinner you should expect to wait an hour or so. The place is very small and popular because of its rather inexpensive prices. If you go at an off time you probably won't wait more than 30 minutes or so.

Thanks all for the info. If it would use up a full service point I would pay out of pocket. If we can't go though on an off time I will have to skip it. We have a 3 year old and 1 hour wait would cause the universe to implode....

The good thing about waiting for this place is that there is a lot to distract you if one person doesn't mind waiting at the podium. The arcade is right next door and beach is near by. Plus the Beach Club lobby is nearby as well where a young child can watch the movies there. The restaurant does take the regular table serve credit, so paying out of pocket is definitely your best bet.

I asked this same question not too long ago...I understand what you are talking about on the online system.
I called WDW reservations & they informed me that B&C is considered a TS, but you cannot make ADRs.

If you're wanting to go just for the burgers, you can go over to Hurricane Hanna's, between the pool and the beach, and get the same burger and fries you get at Beaches & Cream. Also, Hurricane Hanna's is a counter service restaurant! It's nice sitting outside by the pool and the beach, watching people walk by. You can finish off your meal with a Mickey Mouse ice cream bar, too!

small thread drift. At Hurrican Hanna, save your receipt and get dessart after the meal. Keeps the dessert from melting while you eat.
