They aren't done.

If your dates are flexible, there will be some surprisingly decent (by their own standards) value opportunities between now and the end of the year.

Any fellow travel agents on here should be checking TA rate availability, too.
Maybe if they gave resort guests some perks other than early entry they wouldn't have to resort to discounts and free dining. They really have lost touch of what made them different.

Do you think week after Thanksgiving will get anything? That's our best week we think.
I'd expect something based on current demand. I don't know how effectively it will offset the inflated racks, but if you don't mind being a bit flexible with resort and inclusion options, I think there will probably be something available for you.

@PREMiERdrum how worried are they about remaining 2024 through early 2025 bookings? I mean summer vacations and the fall holiday season is their bread and butter.

If things look bad now, they have to be expecting the numbers to get even worse when Epic opens. They will have to offer some incredible discounts to counter Universal.

Disney has things covered with a well thought-out, sure-fire plan to ensure Epic fails. I've heard that once it opens, Bob and Josh will personally stand outside of the Epic Universe gates and tell people, "There's nothing to see here! Go back down I-4 to our parks where you belong.", complete with megaphones and sandwich boards. And Bob will also tweet the same thing. ;)

My understanding is Disney has, for all intents and purposes, thrown in the towel on 2024 and is focusing on 2025. Not literally, of course, but they know 2024 is going to hurt and they want to rebound in 2025.

Throwing in the towel is different from recognizing that a rising tide has generally lifted all boats in Orlando.

Why would they go in-person? Couldn't they just send some of the governor's "friends" a few miles up I-4 from where they're currently stationed?

Did Disney announce the dates beyond just the months for the Disney Visa free dining coming out on Tuesday? Or will the specific dates not be announced until Tuesday?

Thank you.

They could send the crack WDW security force to place all onsite guests under "mouse arrest" and confine them to the world, that'll show 'em

Another 4 "enticements" (Florida resident, AP, and all guests room deals, plus free dining for Disney Visa cardholders), but yet they still haven't pulled the lever they need to pull if they were serious about getting people through the gates. An interesting strategy.
