Uh of course he’s going to say that publicly, otherwise he’d (further) tank the stockHe stated he wasn't concerned in the Sun Valley CNBC interview.

Yeah, I was excited reading about all of the low attendance stuff before our trip a few weeks ago. Results did not bear that out. We were there from 8/16-8/23, and it was quite packed every day. We were at Universal for 4 days before that, and while quite busy, it really wasn't too bad. Disney, though, seemed every bit as busy as prior August trips. Combine that with the surface-of-the-sun weather, and it was an exhausting trip (but still fun). Not sure about parks being quieter....me and the wife have probably been to the parks in Orlando around 100 times over the last 5 years and id say this is the busiest we have ever witnessed.
I mean, we are in Epcot now...I think I have only ever walked straight on to Spaceship earth, 5 minutes max....we are now waiting in a 15 minute queue for it.
Universal the last few days has been the busiest I've ever witnessed. And HHN was a huge waste of time and money as we only manged to get into 3 houses.
I've also never found it so hard to get Virtual queues for GotG.
So I don't know...maybe we just got unlucky.
You going to fill that 300K a year crisis PR job they posted after Sun Valley? He stated he wasn't concerned in the Sun Valley CNBC interview.

Pessimistic or not, he walked away with a $23M exit package when he was fired.Bob Chapek exuded confidence in his plan right before he was canned. I bet he wishes he was a little more pessimistic
You don’t get it but that’s ok.It's not just what he is publicly saying, it's also the good numbers coming from their filings. You have the CEO stating confidence, you have good numbers coming out of their reporting, you have independent analysts calling the park performance "exceptional" and yet the same voices on the internet hoping that they will eventually RUE THE DAY.
Maybe that day will come... maybe.
Yeah but when I say it, it’s a problem!!?You don’t get it but that’s ok.
What wall is your Bob poster hanging on?
Fixed your postPeople, Disney is in flames currently andwethey have to do something about it.
i agree but i mean WE should speak out more about it so it doesn’t get into such a bad stateFixed your post

People, Disney is in flames currently and we have to do something about it.
Um, the stock helloI would like to get it, but there isn't a whole lot being offered here to get. Mostly just a lot of wishful thinking from people who want to be justified in their dissatisfaction. But here we are and Iger is still in charge and nothing ever changes.
Like what?
Um, the stock hello
And everything else??The stock is being propped up by the excellent position the parks are in.
And everything else??
Dude cmon. You know very well that Disney isn’t doing that well in other areas, we don’t have to cover them for that. They will be fine.

Thank you for providing me the articleThey have some short term challenges, yes. Long term though? Unless there is a massive shift in the way people experience entertainment, away from TV and movies, they will be fine.

Disney Gets Stock Price Target Cut by More Than $30 From Wells Fargo Analyst
“Approaching calendar year 2024, we think the longer-term direct-to-consumer earnings/margins story begins to emerge as the key reason to own Disney in duration," writes analyst Steven Cahall.www.hollywoodreporter.com
Yup, this was my exact experience 8/18-8/26.Yeah, I was excited reading about all of the low attendance stuff before our trip a few weeks ago. Results did not bear that out. I am disappointed. IF there is allegedly a drop in attendance, I hoped it made the guest experience better. There are reports in this thread of very low wait times and I am beginning to think while there are moments of low wait times, the guest experience is not any better on the whole.Yeah, I was excited reading about all of the low attendance stuff before our trip a few weeks ago.
