Ironic Sponsorship

I'm not sure how many of you remember this, but I still think it is kinda ironic.

I remember when Horizons was around that it was originally sponsored by General Electric. Later on GE pulled their sponsorship from the ride which ended up dooming it to later become Mission Space. The ironic part is that GE ended up buying Disney's biggest Orlando theme park rival, Universal. So a company that use to sponsor an Epcot attraction now owns Disney's biggest rival. Who knew?

Ah, yes, I remember hearing the pre-show announcements:

"Because 'GE brings good things to life,' Illuminations 2000: Reflections of Earth will begin in ___ minutes."
