Give it to the end of 2020 and Star Wars will be very different to what it is now. Everything with Last Jedi and solo will be forgotten and the fandom will be back together
I don't think modern star wars will be forgotten about, much like how prequel trilogy was never forgotten about.
I can't wait to see what this generation's version of "I hate sand" will end up being.

Disagree...screwing up Star Wars - the easisest thing on earth to get correct - has consequences. Ask George...who’s a lonely, bitter billionaire out In the woods somewhere.

Agree...last Johnson has and will continue to cause financial harm to Star Wars forever. And that’s just the easy thing to point out.

Another interesting thing about dated IPs is sometimes the IP itself isn't dated but the ride around it.
Take for example, Ellen's energy adventure. People still watch Ellen, Bill Nye (granted in schools), and Jeopardy, but various things in the film is what makes the attraction outdated. Such as ages, clothes, etc.
Another example is Stitch's great escape. Stitch is still arguably a popular IP, but his ride consisted of gross out humor that isn't relevant anymore.

I heard the financial harm is being caused by Kathleen Kennedy. But mystery box is a bad practice to go to. I bet disney were slamming their heads when Chris Lord and Phil Miller won that golden globe last night for Spiderverse.

I guess we'll see but I think Star Wars will move into 2 camps soon. The TV series which will keep the hardcore pleased and then the main saga films which while will for everyone, after 9 will go in a different direction altogether and start a fresh. If the hardcore aren't huge on it, then they still have the TV stuff

I heard the tv stuff is not so good either. Not that it's bad, but it's eh.

I reject the premise that there's any "back together" that needs to happen.

There's a very vocal minority who disliked Last Jedi because it defied expectations after Force Awakens so obviously parroted the same story beats as the original Star Wars film. Then there's the even smaller, even more vocal minority who goes crazy over any story not focused on a white male. Last Jedi is currently the 11th highest-grossing film of all-time.

And then there's "Solo," a so-so film with well-documented production issues that came too soon after Last Jedi. It should make Disney and Lucasfilm think twice about prequel stories which recast major roles from the original films and lay off how many Star Wars films they release, but not more than that.

Back together in terms of the really hardcore fans. Not casual fans as I think most of them liked the Last Jedi.

I didn't like the last Jedi. I'm fine with the 'choices' the film too but I just think it was poorly executed. Solo gets a free pass slightly because it's a spin off. People watching the whole Saga, can actually just skip Solo.

Rogue one was a brilliant one of exception.

Anyway... back on topic from me.

Wait, dudo is married to an interesting lady by the name of Melody Hobson. Owner of her very profitable financial services company. she was the hedge honcho at dreamworks I think, can't remember. She's always on the today show giving financial advice. I think they just adopted some kids or had kids by surrogate. whew, the mind is the first thing to go.

He maybe bitter but he ain't lonely

I know that...and of course you knew what I meant by saying he was forced out of his properties and Hollywood at large...

But I’m curious...why did you phrase it that way? Does that matter? Or she - in fact - your sister?
Actually he is in LA building a massive museum next to the colosseum.
Yeah...I know...but you put a micorophone in front of him and the vitriol of the fans still seethes out. Doesn’t seem to be much of a fan of Sitcom Bob and the crew either.

Provide your source then. You heard the tv stuff isn't that good huh? Source please.

I’ve watched most of it...with my kids and it tests out very “meh”...so that’s accurate.

I can’t wait until all this awesome streaming content comes out...on the service that is now officials “due”

I just heard it from a lot of people. Why would I need a source to what is a personal opinion? That's like posting a source to when I say I heard someone doesn't like pizza.

I thought you were talking about the live action shows being developed. Have you not seen the current stuff to form your own opinion?
