Interesting WDW item in your home or office

I have a few items that I think are interesting. I was cleaning out my closet recently and found my work hat from when I was a CP back in 2000 and worked at Pasta Piazza. It's a baseball cap with Mickey on the front and says something about pasta with EPCOT on the back of it. Not sure if I was supposed to take that after my CP was over but oh well, doesn't much matter now since Pasta Piazza isn't there anymore. I also have my ID card that I used to clock in/out with.

Another Item I have that isnt' really unique but something I like is this puzzle.

It looks just like that and when I was done I glued it together and hung it on my wall.

Pumbas Nakasak

Heading for the great escape.
When I lived in the mess away from home, my walls were festooned with pictures etc of WDW.

Now I have a cork pin board with all my pins and several A2 poster size montages I made in photoshop

That is really pretty...in the photo, it almost looks like a plate!

I would say that you've been shopping at MouseSurplus, except you got most of it free.

Care to share your collecting secrets?
The secret is to visit many times as possible and get to know the powers that be. I can't reveal who i know, but if you heard the names, you would probably know who i was talking about. Some of the stuff is from Mousesurplus, but some stuff i had to buy from employees just because they ent through hell to get the item. Ever wonder what happened to the skull before the drop in POTC? I do, everytime i go downstairs in my house.:sohappy:

In my office I hae a Tink pen, an Ariel pen, and a sorcerer Mickey pen. The Tink and Ariel pens light up when I use them. I have an 8x10 color photo I took of Mickey and Minnie in the holiday version of the Disney Studios parade, and a slew of animal photos from AK Sunrise Safari that I printed on to magnetic paper and have them stuck on my filing cabinets. I also have a Mickey coffee cup I bought on my last trip.

You know how in the inside of the buses they have like posters running across the top with like advertisements of tv shows and movies. Well it was my birthday and the bus driver stopped the bus, sang happy birthday to me and gave me a poster off the top. i still have it to this day but it is kindof weird b.c it is of the wayne brady show on ABC and really isnt anything disney....but it was pretty memorable. :p

In the environment I work in (Law Courts) I cannot wear anything that has obvious Mickeys on, such as a shirt or tie. But I have a leather keyring that has one very subtle Mickey on, which I use to hold my work keys. I find that having work keys (which include office and courtroom, and even the doors to the cells on) on a Mickey keyring just seems to brighten the day sometimes in a not very pleasant environment.

Also, I have a little crystal Jiminy Cricket that sits on my desk at home where I do a lot of my work, just to remind me of the need to be very thoughtful and ethical in the decisions I make when making decisions about people's futures.

I have a pic myself and DH at MVMCP in 2000 (when we got engaged) and a montage of pics from 2005 (honeymoon), we also have a glass block from Mousegear with our 3d image in it with the date of our wedding, which is pretty cool.

I love my year of a million dreams certificate I was given in One Man's Dream. I never win anything and that was really important to me and I have it framed and everything.

Of all the collectibles, memoribilia, etc., my favorite is a chunk of the curb from the hub on Main Street in MK! And a roof shingle that fell off Peter Pan's flight and hit my son on the head! I display both right along with the fancier items.

My entire kitchen is painted with vines and flowers like those in Snow White's Adventure and also a mural of the 7 dwarves cottage. The artist, my sister, based the kitchen on pictures we took from the ride.

Have a trivet that says Polynesian Village with a painting of a longhouse. A tiki glass that says the same from the 70s. A menu from the Poly's Coral Isle Cafe from back in the day. 3 drawings done by an artist that draws scenery from the Poly. Poly pajamas that I love to wear in the summer! Monorail salt and pepper shakers (I know they are old but not sure how old). Cinderella Castle glasses that my husband and I got from the waitress as keepsakes. A Cinderella Castle antenna topper. Replica of nautilus from 20K. Mexican boy and sun limited addition figurines and a number of little glass animals from the Mexico Pavillion. Also a poster of the Monorail going through the Contemporary. The glass slipper I got from my husband when I got engaged there :)

We have a living room chair from the stage at Hall of Presidents that was given to us by a friend that worked in one of the shops. The chair was refurbed but then retired.

Most proud of a framed photo of my Wife with Richard Nunis along with her certificate from the early '90s when she won the Spirit of Disney award.
