"We LOVE the new interactive Epcot ball!!! The narrator on that ride sounds like Dame Judi Dench — with the accent and the huskiness. Is it she? We never get tired of visiting the Parks! Definitely "magical" days!"

Usually these questions are great, but this one....

Yes it is in fact Dame Judi Dench who does the voice over in Spaceship Earth at Epcot.

I saw this too and had a laugh. But it's not all that surprising... when talking to non-Disney fans, I often get confused looks when I say "Spaceship Earth", and have to explain by telling them "the large ball" so they understand.

It also doesn't help that Dave's answer to the *previous* question about the Main Street Electrical Parade was wrong... He corrected himself on the dates, saying that it had finished its run at DCA this past summer, but he was still wrong (at least to the best of my knowledge).

The question was what had happened to the original MSEP floats from WDW. Dave said they were running at DCA. To the best of my knowledge, that's wrong. The *original* Florida MSEP floats were shipped to Disneyland Paris when Spectromagic debuted in Florida.
The version of MSEP that showed in Florida while Spectro was in an extended refurb around 1999/2000 was *Disneyland's* original MSEP floats, which then shipped *back* to California where it was shown in DCA.

So the question of what happened to the *original* Florida floats was never answered (and off-hand I don't know the answer to... Martin or anyone know?)

I thought that person was perhaps talking about those stupid inflatable balls they sell in the Innnoventions East breezeway. But then they mentioned Dame Judi and, well... oh boy. :brick:No wonder Disney has stopped trying hard when it comes to new shows and attractions; there's no need to with people like this. :(
