I am very surprised that your ToT photo appeared, given that two masks were not properly secured. Disney has been very careful about not allowing “official” photos (either ride or Photopass) to appear in MDE if someone’s mask is flipped up, pulled down or off.

I have at least two ride photos that never appeared in MDE because of mask issues.
Perhaps theyre realizing that chaos will not ensue or it won't be a PR nightmare if a person sees a photo of someone wearing a mask improperly. I've noticed many people in common areas not wearing their mask at all. Especially on the Boardwalk. I'm sitting on our balcony as I write this and can see several people with their mask completely off.

I think people are getting fed up with it. Especially considering you can just take a few steps to the side and sit down with a water bottle and all of the sudden "it's safe".

But who are you putting on the fancy cologne for if your wife’s not with you? 🤔
She insists that I at least smell fancy considering I'm wearing white tees and flip flops LOL. One of my nicer watches will suffice in lieu of cologne but I prefer not to wear those at Disney World.

and don't forget that I'm dining with three very important ladies in my life and they definitely deserve to smell more than my deodorant 😬😁

They're really pushing hard for mobile ordering only and in galaxies Edge my phone would crash on the app every time I tried to order a beer. I get the need for less contact into space orders out but it's frustrating after three attempts when you could literally just walk up and give them cash or your card and be gone and much less time than I wasted for five minutes trying to get the app to work

I eventually got it to work and now I finally have a beer LOL.

Wi-fi reception and the app are even worse in Disneyland, CA if you can believe it.

Mom and C LOVED RoTR!

IMG_20200906_121754454.jpg

Star Tours was awesome as always. It was a walk on.

IMG_20200906_125441353.jpg

Runaway Railway was....interesting. I had no idea what was going on. IMO, there's too much happening at once. It's all over the place. It wasn't bad, but it's not an attraction that left me wanting to ride again. Maybe it will grow on me over time.

HS was definitely busier than the other parks we had been to but still very pleasant.

IMG_20200906_134219208_HDR.jpg

Midway Mania was a ten minute wait.

IMG_20200906_135838609.jpg

I headed over to Batu for a beer while the kids rode A.S.S

IMG_20200906_141304274.jpg

Then we hit SDD. It was about a 30 min wait

It's fitting I was complaining about the app because when we got to Momma Melrose my sister's reservation was just gone. She had gone to guest relations earlier that day because she couldn't remove her husband from her group and maybe whatever they did removed her reservation. Who knows. Either way, it was gone. With MM being a bust, we were able to get a table at 50s Prime Time.

The kids had a separate table. The CMs were not up to their usual antics which made it a bit different but it was still fun.

My sister was camera shy

I went to the restroom and as I walked back to the table I spotted Tom Corless. I went over to say hello. He was very nice. I thanked him for all the work him and his team do and we took a picture.

He's definitely caused some waves over the years and many people don't like him but I enjoy his podcast and respect that he doesn't kiss Disneys as$.

Quick rant:

There seems to be two type of cast members nowadays. There are the ones who are normal and do not freak out if you make a mistake and walk the wrong way, and then there are the ones who absolutely lose their minds and panic as if everybody will die if you accidentally attempt to exit through the same door you entered.

And there are cast members who have on yellow shirts and heaven forbid if you even attempt to readjust your mask, they pop up out of nowhere to remind you that you're not allowed to have your nose exposed at any time.

Dining options at the resorts are extremely limited but it seems after Friday there was a big influx of guests coming in for the holiday weekend and I would have thought they would open a few more dining places but they did not and there is either a very long line at the boardwalk bakery or the walk up pizza window or you can try and get a reservation at trattoria El forno which is next to impossible. I've walked up about 45 minutes prior to closing and was able to get a table for one and order a small pizza which was very nice and extremely delicious.

In the end , the limited dining, the heat and the masks and the humidity are all tolerable and I'm just happy that the parks and resorts are open and we can enjoy them once again. but there are just several moments throughout the day when a cast member is just ridiculously passive aggressive about which way you're moving or if your mask is not 1000% correct.

and please don't misunderstand me I am not walking around half masking or trying to take it off. There was an incident at Animal Kingdom where I tried to adjust my mask and the top flap folded under and while I was adjusting it to pull it back up a cast member in the yellow short literally followed us for 50 yards after telling me to fix it and I told her it got stuck and I was unfolding it while moving. She seriously followed us. I stopped and pulled out my bottle of water and sat down and of course there was no problem with me completely removing my mask and she walked back to her station. I literally took three steps to the side and sat down and all of the sudden there was no problem with my mask being completely off. IMO, that's just silly.

Sounds like a challenging situation all around for CMs and guests. Even guests like yourself (only adjusting the mask) with good intentions, might get misinterpreted by a CM.

Aside of any possible misunderstandings, I'm glad that you are still enjoying your vacation at WDW. Following along, and I really like your photos, too! :)

Crowds were light and weather was good (just got).

We heard monks were toiling endlessly so we went to check it out.

Has this AA always been there? For some reason, I can't recall.

Next up was drive thru the laser tree forrest. The ride stopped and after 5 minutes the lights came on. After another ten we were ready to be evacd but then it started back up.

It was time for my first catch of the day!

IMG_20200907_130238658_HDR.jpg

And when in Norway...we ride the shoehorn!

IMG_20200907_134025907.jpg

Shortly after it began to rain. We had a lunch reservation and Mom and C had ponchos so they went ahead of me and I was gonna wait out the rain. It slightly let up and I made a dash for it. Of course it began to pour and people were cramming the shops and restrooms to capacity so I wound up getting drenched. My Figment shirt was soaked!

IMG_20200907_150051265.jpg

Mom and C were at the restaurant so I bought a clean (and dry) shirt. I present you with a very rare picture. More rare than bigfoot or a high quality ufo picture. More rare than Disney lowering their prices, more rare than Sean not having a White Claw in his hand. It's me, in a regular collar shirt😬

IMG_20200907_172714665.jpg

Only the forces of mother nature could make this happen! If this photo pops up later in life I'll claim it was Photoshop, CGI, deep fake.😁
