Input On These Dining Choices?

We will be going to Disney in November for 6 days, 5 nights, and we decided on Teppan Edo, Crystal Palace (Right before MVMCP), Captain's Grill, Chef Mickey's, and 'Ohana. We chose these basically because we only want to use one credit because we will only have 5 dinners. Are these good choices? Any input is helpful :), thanks!

Really great choices! A couple good character meals if you have children and 'Ohana is simply the greatest. Have a great vacation and enjoy all those wonderful meals.

We have eaten at and enjoyed all of these restaurants. That said, Teppan Edo wouldn’t be my first choice, not that there is anything wrong with Teppan Edo it’s just that we enjoy other restaurants in in the World Showcase more.

If you are going to MVMCP eating in the Magic Kingdom is a great idea, we did that a few years ago where we had dinner at the Liberty tree Tavern and walked right out to the parade. We have eaten at the Captain’s Grille several times and always got a good meal. Chef Mickey’s and Ohana are also favorites of ours. Enjoy.

Chef Mickey's is the only one that I might reconsider. We love the character aspect of it as well as the convenient location...I mean really, what a great way to see the fab 5 and be close to MK! The food quality at dinner is what is keeping us away. I know everyone says that buffets are lesser quality to a menu based meal...and I'm not disagreeing, but the quality of Chef Mickey's dinner food was just really bad when we went. Breakfast there is a different story...love it.

While I'm solely going on the feedback of others with this one and won't be able to give a first hand opinion until after our November trip...Garden Grill dinner in Epcot might be a nice alternative. You still get Mickey & Pluto (w/Chip and Dale), the reviews say the character interaction is top notch (even my supervisor was raving about this today), and the food gets much better reviews. Just a thought :)

I was looking into Garden Grill, but then I thought about how we would want to see decorations at the Floridian and Contemporary (Even though they aren't all up yet while we're there:confused:). Also, we don't plan on spending as much time in Epcot ( 14 and 6 year olds) so we were just going to do one dinner there. :D

Hi there,
Love Crystal Palace and Chef Mickey's and 'Ohana. I have never been to Teppan Edo - my DH really wants to go but I've read mixed reviews. Here is a thread with opinions on Teppen Edo

I have not been to Captain's Grill before.

Hope this helps! :)

In my opinion, these are some good choices.
All of these are on our favorites list...except for Captain's Grille...we have never eaten there, but are scheduled to eat there on our next trip.

i'm dying to go to Tepan Edo ,only thing is no one else ever wants to :( let me know how you like it.Also I've only done Chef Mickeys for breakfast so not sure what its like for dinner but I can tell you although gardengrill character interaction was the best ,we went with 6 ppl and none of us liked the food at all.We ate so little that we left there and went straight to Sunshine seasons because we were that hungry.Everyone likes different things though, you might have a better experience if you decide to try it.
