Question of the Day - December 17, 2016

A bit of an interesting one, but we've done this scenario in a prior imagineering event "The House Cup" before.

If you could turn any dark ride at Disney or Universal parks...into a roller coaster thrill ride, what dark ride would you choose?
I think that Pirates of the Caribean could be updated to a thrill ride. Idk about roller coaster but...

Thank you, I know a bit of mermaid lore (did you know that in British folklore, sailors considered mermaids as omens of storms, rough seas, and shipwrecks?) and a bit other aquatic mythological creatures and beings.
And don't worry about the merfolk; not everymer's the same; in both appearance and personality. For example:

Also, here's a drawing of Ariel I found of the web.

Hi @S.P.E.W! I'm just sitting here wearing antlers, a red nose and dressed as a half naked reindeer waiting to be picked up for this Christmas party! Seriously, I have been waiting for like over an hour now. If they're not here by 10:15, I'm out. It's late and so cold outside, too. I just want some hot chocolate and to sleep. If it wasn't for charity and the photo op, I would have called it quits by now. LOL.

Anyway.... wow! You really know your mermaids and your British folklore, too. I didn't know that about the mermaids but I find this truly fascinating!

OMG, stop looking at these ugly mermaids. I don't want you looking at them and then thinking of me or something, lol. That meme is so hilarious!!!!!!! LOL.

I really love the Ariel drawing though! Thanks for finding this. It's so pretty.

Awww, I'm really going to miss talking to you here. I hope to bump into you around other parts of the forum.

Who's wr49ms (His username reminds me of wyrm dragons and worms funny enough)? He sounds like a bully.
Seriously, after what I experienced on here today. He looks like an angel to me. I learned today that he is definitely the lesser of two evils. LOL.

Okay i know it's like 3 am but i seriously cannot stop thinking about Star Wars. I just saw Rogue One a few hours ago and I'm groaning at the fact that we won't be seeing Star Wars Land for like another 7 years! Disney takes so long to build stuff. If only Disney was like Universal. They can build an entire land in literally just 2 years.
OMG. It seems like everyone has seen Rogue One except me.

This reminds me of when we didn't have HBO and Showtime, growing up. And, all the kids would come to school talking about what was on and I was just standing there. LOL.

You should really stick around, at least in here - there's no reason to leave. Nobody in this thread has bothered you.

Do 4, 5, 1, 2, 3, 6, 7 as the order. Best way to watch. And the prequels aren't great, but there are a lot of great things in the prequels. And Episode 3 at least is alright lol.
^^^

While the prequels as films (like dialogue, plot, etc) kinda stink...they are the films that got me into Star Wars. I still have my action figures from Episode 1...the expansion of the universe was very cool and ambitious. While the films weren't great...they definitely inspired TFA and Rogue One to travel to new planets and new locations.

Naboo was really cool, I would live there:p

Ohh, Publix is the best!!:D
Just a "bit" behind (like 9 pages ), but its not my fault its my AP Comp Sci teacher we have to make a Labyrinth type of game. I decided to go all out, and use the maze from the Goblet of Fire to base it on. So yeah I've been doing backstory for it, and that's fun:rolleyes:. So far I have the Bakcstory, Help, and a Book of Spells done. Need Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, and the main meat of the homework assignment done. so here's hoping :D

Wait this was about Publix:confused: I disagree I think Winn Dixie Fresco y Mas is much better
Like I love the fact that the whole store is yellow :grumpy:, and its almost as pointless as Publix Sabor.

Was it Shiny, because Shiny is my fave :inlove:

therefore my "No."

Naboo was really cool, I would live there:p
I might just be me, but the prequel planets are just so much to say -

I'm impressed you still got into SW even though you were first subjected to the prequels. I tend not to rip them as much as most. I do think they at least got progressively better from 1-3.
I was a 4-6 kid. All of my original SW toys still at my parents (at-at, falcon, jabbas palace, etc). Haven't had a chance to see rogue one yet, but thinking I'm looking more forward to it now after seeing FA last year as a change of pace.

Which beasts; besides the Blast-Ended skrewt, sphinx, and boggart, acromantula; are you planning on using?

From that list I'm only using the Sphinx.

This is due to the setting of 1792 the last tri wizard tournament until the one Harry was in. So its more of a lose adaptation. However I gurantee you that you will find Cockatrice within the book.

Im doing this to make it unique yet familiar to the fans.

When I finnish it and if its any good I might post it here

It's definitely a change of pace!

And yeah I was around 5 when Phantom Menace came out. If I saw it when I was older it probably wouldn't have had the same effect, but Darth Maul, lightsabers, and a ton of action figures got me hooked.

I remember they came with a voice chip that if you put the chip over the reader it would say lines from the film. :geek:

And this was back when you could go to Toys R Us or a some other local shop and pick up these action figures for 5 dollars or less.

Now they're more pricey.
