Indiana Jones to close this month?

I just hope they leave Muppets alone! Improving it or doing more with them...sure. But I will freak if they would ever even dream of taking away their Muppets. Thats their only representation.

Indiana has run it's coarse. I haven't even seen this show in probably well over 15+ years. I'd love if they added their own version of Disneyland'd ride. Or something similar.

So with the chris pratt as Indiana jones rumor gaining more traction , perhaps a new attraction would be good co marketing.

If they bring over the existing Indiana ride from japan it shouldn't take them that long to build the ride or to demo the current stage. So they could have it up in a year or so. That would bring something new for the park while a larger starwars portion is built.

Looking at the map http://wdwtourguide.com/img/DisneysHollywoodStudiosMap.jpg they could easily fit a cantina where the current Indiana food area is , they could also put up a dark ride Indiana and perhaps another dark starwars ride in the current stunt show space. Then they have that space around commissary and echo that can be themed for more star wars .

Looking at backlot they can fit a few rides over there and put Pixar there. They should be able to fit cars land and a roller coster along with a couple of meet and greets and resturants .

I'm sure someone who is better with google maps can plot out sizes better. They also seem to have some room behind beauty and the beast and in front of fantasmic to build also. If I had power I would get rid of the beauty stage and put up another ride or two there.
get google maps pro for free, you can measure area of a plygon(draw where you want it tells you how many acres...)

I understand that you feel that way. I was just at both the Muppets and Indy this past Tuesday. Let me tell you something about the two of them. If one thinks that the Muppets is dated. Well, they are wrong. It might feel because some of us have seen it so often that this is the case. In actuality, there is nothing in the show that really dates it. To someone seeing it for the first time, it is as fresh as a daisy in spring. In Tuesdays show, everything was clear and crisp. The pre-show was slightly altered, but, was still funny and the only complaint that I would have had is that "A net full of jello" is no longer there. Probably out of respect for Annette, so I will live with that one. The BIG kicker is that when the movie was done, almost the entire theater was applauding. It is still liked by new people and old, like myself. If anyone wants something new demand that Disney build something new, leave what is there in it's place. OK, Disney?

Now to Indy... almost the same thing. It was funny, well done and to a full theater. I don't understand why people think that because of SW, it is going to leave. Indy is a Lucas Production as well as SW. There is room for more then one IP. The crowd loved it and left singing the theme song. Hardly a dead attraction. It is a great show that I have witnessed at least a dozen times and it is still fun to watch.

Yep. Couldn't agree more. I don't understand why people think those are dated. Indy more often than not plays to a full house and Muppets is still very funny.

If people think it's because the attractions are old and don't change much, does that mean that Haunted Mansion should close because it's "dated?"

Well no, because they like those. If they don't personally like it they call for the thing to be closed, well, because THEY are not amused, I guess.

I agree 100%. Last November was my first time seeing the Muppets attraction. I never enjoyed the show on tv, but I loved the attraction. It was engaging, and I'm an adult with a very limited span of attention...like super limited. I clapped at the end. I even went again while my wife and mother took a break.
I don't enjoy Indy as much. Its cool to see the stunts and the banter between the guest stars and the actors. But, it gets old to me about the time the airplane is brought out. But, going with people who never went...they loved it.
Both attractions have a lot going for them. for new and rreturning guest.

I am sad to hear they removed the net of jello. I loved seeing it every time. Don't get why that would be removed. It was a tribute, not an insult to her. Is the key still under the mat at least?

As for Indiana....I still feel the show is good. However, IF they were only going to have one attraction absed on it, I would rather have the ride over the show personally.
