I like the Indy show, but to keep it, goodness, does it need to be changed up. EVen the gags are the same.
More than anything, DHS needs more rides. Gosh, that place gets crowded when more than 20 people show up there. As much as I used to love DHS, it has become one of my least favorite. There is nothing to thin out the lines, no where near enough attractions. How many times can you see Lights! Motors! This Again!?

In Disney's Hollywood Studios Gemini, there will be both an Indiana Jones show, and an Indiana Jones ride.

This is what I think they should do with Indy ( and Star Wars for that matter). They should keep the show but update, put in a short Indiana Jones shoot-the-chutes ride behind it. Take out the Backlot Express and then put an an area dedicated to Star Wars. There they could put an E-Ticket located in a replica of the Death Star, a walkthrough of the Millenium Falcon, a restauraunt themed to Jabba the Huts palace, and a permanent Jedi Training Acadamy taking place in Yoda's home where an animatronic of him would be the teacher. Then over in MK in the expansion pad behind Jungle Cruise they could build a giant Indy E-Ticket, a small shop, and something like the dinosaur digsite over in AK but with jewels and artifacts instead of bones.

They wouldn't have to get rid of the stunt show. The space for the EMV ride is behind the show, in the parking lot.

Its not similar to Dinosaur AT ALL. Honestly, I don't get this arguement. Same ride system and layout don't make a similar ride experience. In terms of experience they're completely different.

Exactly, been saying this for years!

You can have two books with the same size cover, the same color, the same number of pages, even the same number of words...and still have two completely different experiences.

The Indy show is just plain old and stale..."This is how we make movies" is SOOO 1990, LOL. We all know the tricks, etc. I'd much rather have an immersive adventure since I'll never set foot in that show again I don't think.

Ride all the way!

The stunt show still attracts the Guests, but if it hasn't been updated since park opening, I believe it may be time to change some of it up.

I'd love to see an Indy EMV attraction, but I'd rather see it in Adventureland than at the Studios. I'd also like to have it different than Disneyland's version to help alleviate the inevitable "Disneyland's version is better!" comparisons.

What he said!

I used to really like the show when I was younger but it's definitely lost some of it's lustre. Perhaps because it has stayed so similar from back then.

I love the ride in DL and the Indy frnachise all together so I am all for the development of a new Indy ride. DOesn't have to be the same as DL but I wouldn't complain if it were. Either way, I think it would be a great addition to WDW

This might just be me but I REALLY think the Indiana Jones franchise itself is on it's last legs. I'd say milk the current attraction(s) while they're still fairly popular, but I wouldn't throw major dollars at new e-tickets. If anything deserves more than what it has now, it's Star Wars.

I keep bringing this up when Indy is mentioned...Make a water ride/Chute the chutes temple excavation adventure. The studio needs a water ride!!!

Love the Indy stunt show but would love to see a new (additional attraction), but here's the twist; how about a "National Treasure" themed Indy/Dino style ride. National Treasure has history in it, adventure in it (and with a probably third iteration) more current visability in the market (as the Indianna Jones franchise begins to wane). Just a thought.

I ADORE the DL Indy ride and totally agree with the previous posters about it being different to dinosaur.
It is very different in my opinion. The thrills are much bigger, theming better and Indy is much cooler than dinosaur .

The show is great but the scenes, script and jokes have virtually remained the same for like what 15 years? A show loses it's life but a really good ride can live forever.

I like the idea of WDW having a rival ride, a heavily themed mine cart coaster/dark ride would be amazing. But DLP has an Indy mine cart coaster and it blows!

Agreeing with this.

I would vote give us a different show(NOT Indy or any HSM crap) but a musical show like DL. But here would be the key... change this show and the other park shows every 5 or so years. oh what was I thinking??... back to reality.

Of these choices.. RIDE!!!

An E ticket is an E ticket. As long as it's either thrilling (splash mt.) or highly immersive (haunted mansion) it's gonna bring people in. How many people are familiar with song of the south? Probably not many as it's never been on out on blu ray, don't even think it's been out on dvd. But Splash mt. is popular because it's a thrilling log flume adventure. Give Indy a ride like the one in DL or overseas and it's guaranteed to be a hit.

I've enjoyed the stunt show, but it's no longer a must-see show for me, and I'm a huge Indiana Jones fan.

I'd love to see a new Indy attraction added to Hollywood Studios, and the massive amount of real estate the current show is taking up could give Imagineers a lot of room to play with. At this point I don't care if we got an exact clone of Disneyland's attraction or a modified/rethemed version, because either one would be an improvement over the stunt show.

Even since Disney-MGM Studios stopped being a working production studio and shifted its focus away from giving behind the scenes "how to" demonstrations the few remaining left over attractions from that era seem more and more out of step with the current direction of the park.
