Indiana Jones Adventure refurbishment

None of the rock work has changed. Go look at any YouTube video. They just painted them.
Looks like they cut off a few feet, there used to be quite a bit of greenery in front of the sign, now it’s just a foot or two. The rocks are definitely lower and more jagged now.

I was starting to question whether I was just seeing an optical illusion from the angle difference but I found a better pic on Google earth and think it‘s definitely shorter, looks like they took out the front section that had the lamp.

Some sites reporting this reopens March 26th.
I believe that is based on the attractions calendar which only went up to March 26th.

March 27th is now available and it shows no times.

So it could reopen the 26th, but until its officially announced I wouldn't make any plans around that date.

Ahh, was trying to figure out where this date came from, and I couldn't see anything. Makes sense.

Here's hoping this refurbishment was strictly cosmetic. Though I wouldn't mind them bringing back the proper Mara voice (absolute crime to replace JEJ).

There's also a ton of Indy dialogue that hasn't been heard in years- each major scene has different dialogue options and many seem to have been taken out of the rotation. It'd be cool to bring those back.

The speculation that they're gonna reference Indy 5 with this refurb doesn't sit well with me.

Here's what the Orange County Register says about the refurbishment.

"The Indiana Jones Adventure dark ride in the crumbling Temple of the Forbidden Eye at Disneyland will reopen this week after undergoing a comprehensive refurbishment that was expected to repair ailing animatronics and address downtime issues."

"Indiana Jones Adventure closed in early January for seasonal refurbishment and maintenance to address behind-the-scenes and guest-facing updates to audio-animatronics and other special effects — but not any significant changes from a story standpoint."

Yeah.....IJA opens Friday and Toon Town on Sunday. Both set to eat up lots of people that currently aren't being eaten, so I think you are right.

Glad I got a ride in a few weeks ago. Honestly haven’t been riding very often due to the cold weather and soak factor. I still think they’ll make some sort of announcement don’t you?

GRR is opening Friday too.

The only thing I can imagine them waiting for are the BTMRR and Matterhorn refurbs in April but even that I suspect might not pause it. I’d say it’s really on borrowed time now.

I don't know if anyone here can confirm it, but, I had seen some rumors of an update to the ride system as part of the changes to "addess downtime issues".
