In WDW now: Ride elements not working

What happened to the Buzz AA in the queue before entering the vehicles on the Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger ride? It was there last year but it was completely missing last week when we were there. Are they planning on returning it?

It was there during our stay from 1/7-12. Probably out for repair or refreshing.

Re: Buzz Lightyear - he's been looking bad for a number of years. Face was all out of focus from dirt or whatever. I'm glad that they're finally fixing him and hope that they fix the rest of the ride. It's a good time, but not if the ride components don't work.
