In Search of the Purple Cat & Other Wild Goose Chases

Introductions...and Day 1: Getting settled, getting snacks and heading Dowtown

Well, it's been about a week since we got back...I'm almost done editing and uploading pics...and I've channeled my inner Jennings Osborne and covered my house with lights as best as I can...so, I guess it's time to get this trip report rolling. I don't have many pics for this early section, but I promise you----I have a TON of pics...so please be patient.

If you had a chance to read my PTR, this trip was a surprise for my younger daughter's (Sammie) 4th bday. We also have a 6 yr old daughter named Kendall who got her own surprise WDW trip back for her 5th bday. Sadly- the surprise for Sammie kind of fizzled, but by our departure day (Nov 14th) they were bouncing off the ceiling with excitement.

First things first...I had to get our Daisy Doggy to doggy camp.

Yeah, the girls thought it would be fun to put an 'Ohana lei on her...that didn't last long.

There was MAJOR drama with boarding though...like, "am I going to miss my vacay for this?" kind of drama. Essentially, the girl who took my reservation booked me for October instead of November, and they were booked solid b/c my dates included Thanksgiving. It all worked out in the end, but it was a very ugly 45 minutes. Still, with the dog boarded, we were pretty much ready to go.

We hit the road from the Houston area around 8:15pm. The girls were so excited that they actually stayed awake much longer than expected, but they were both out before we crossed into Louisiana. They woke up each time we stopped for gas, but that was fine b/c it served as bathroom breaks for them and the people with the graveyard shifts at the various gas station convenience stores got a kick out of the girls' road trip bed time attire. They were both in Christmas pjs...Kendall an elf and Sammie as Santa. Kendall also had big furry bunny slippers and Sammie had her ladybugs.

I drove from Houston to the Alabama state line. I couldn't even tell you what time it was when DH took over for me. I went a bit crazy between eastern Louisiana and through Mississippi. I was drinking Diet Mountain Dew and had a couple 20oz diet Red Bulls + peanut butter M&Ms. Let's just say I was WIRED! Around midnight, several stations switched over to holiday music...so just picture me all energized, having a holiday sing a long in the driver's seat, dancing in my seat...and all while everyone else slept! Yeah- it's a good thing there was next to nobody on the road.

The rest of the drive was pretty uneventful. DH and I switched off a lot after that just so I could get in some naps. The griping came as we got closer to Orlando...he hates tolls. Still, it was the sign that we were almost there. I was hoping to get some great video of our arrival, but this was the trip where nothing choreographed would work for us. So, you have a pic just before we see the glorious Maingate...

Even my first arrival pic at Yacht Club was pretty pathetic...

I guess at least the pics I was able to get improved...

What really happened, DH and I had a misunderstanding about signs, where to go and what I'd be doing. In a nutshell, I didn't know he was expecting me to navigate. I did take a video (deleted), but it wasn't fit for all audiences.

We parked my vehicle and went to check in. I didn't want to mess with the bags if the room wasn't ready. It was about 3pm and I'd listed our estimated arrival time as 11:30am when doing online checkin. Not sure if it helped, but our room was ready. Which was good because I was a little let down that the guy who checked us in wasn't very enthusiastic or personable. So, since the room was ready we opted to check out the room before figuring out the bag situation. i.e. if it was close enough, we might bring in our own bags. Too bad our room was a million miles away...I swear, any farther and we'd be staying at the Dolphin.

The room was really nice though...a corner room on the 1st floor with a quiet pool from our patio view and a nice water area and lush greenery from our two side windows.

And we're ready for our voyage! Or as DH put it...the first ride of the trip. Nice.

At least everyone is looking pretty happy...

Waving hi to BW...

And now approaching Epcot...

And the boat really cleared out after that!

This is about the point where we should have decided to get off, but we were headstrong and decided to push on. And at first everyone seemed pretty happy...

But the temps were dropping and you can see by the reflection here that Kendall is now ...well...not so happy.

But we sail away...

At least this one is still in good spirits...

At least we got to see the DHS tree when we pulled up to that stop...

Kendall was also quick to point out "the ride I will NOT ride!"

When you see their Haunted Mansion reaction later on, you'll probably agree that it was a wise decision to skip ToT with them. The only difference...they begged for Haunted Mansion. Oh well, we'll cover that down the road.

We were now on the return leg when we saw something that cracked me up. I guess it's a vulture...and it landed on the head of the swan. I had to blow this up a bit since I was without my better zoom lens at the time, but it was just funny to see a big bird land on an even bigger bird.

We finally made our way back to the YC/BC stop and headed back to the room to rest and then clean up. We had a big dinner at Cali Grill that night. I did my best to try and time it with Holiday Wishes and tonight is CAKE NIGHT!!!!

So, everyone was in suprisingly good spirts even after the long day of travels around the Epcot area. So, we hopped in my vehicle to drive over to the mk area. This is where I had some issues. I had no trouble driving to the MK area, but I made the wrong turn and ended up in all of the MVMCP parking traffic instead of the MK area resorts. And let me just say...turning around and making your way back after making such a wrong turn is not exactly easy, especially in the dark. At least I went the right way on my second attempt. There was very little parking to be had at the Contemporary and I was in 5" platform heels...so I was not a happy girl. DH went ahead with the kids as I hobbled across the parking lot like Peggy Bundy. At least I was able to stop and get pics of the Contemporary tree.

And as much as we're enjoying being over in the Epcot area at this point, I see the tower and a feel a bit homesick.

I get inside and I find the girlies checking out the interior tree...

Due to my wrong turn, we were in a bit of a time crunch but I still tried to snap a few rushed pics before heading upstairs.

Like I said- Rushed.

Checkin was a breeze...allergy and cake info all in check. I sat with the girls in the lounge while DH went to get us some drinks.

We weren't sure how long we'd be waiting and I wasn't feeling too great, so DH took the girls outside while I sipped my drink and watched his.

It didn't take long for our buzzer to go off. As we were being escorted to our table, I saw the PERFECT 4-top right along the MK facing window that was open and set. I'd hoped it was ours, but the host kept walking. Apparently, that table was spoken for. We were seated at a window table, but it was the windows facing out towards Epcot. I guess at least we had a nice view of the place, including the kitchen.

It's also pretty easy to entertain the girls...just give them some crayons.

And before we even ordered a thing...that yummy Cali Grill bread!!!! (and goldfish for the girls- nice touch!)

DH went a little more traditional with his food tonight, but I decided to skip the entree and just have a trio of starters...which I shared ... at least to some degree.

This flatbread here is the single best thing I ate this trip.

On top was salmon, caviar, microgreens of some sort, shallots, capers, and a perfectly poached egg. I believe there was goat cheese spread underneath.

Next I had a ravioli.

This was only OK. It's not that it was bad, but it just wasn't overly special- yet it was highly recommended by our server.

The girls actually thought it was funny that mommy is in this nice restaurant eating ravioli. They gave me these over the top reactions about it all...

Also kind of cool that we can see Chef Brian (Cali Grill Chef Brian vs. cake Chef Brian)

It was finally time for main courses...well, for the kids and DH. DH got the tenderloin.

He had debated about it on our last visit, but decided to try it this time. Unfortunately, he said it was just OK. Which would eventually turn into "we should try a different signature place next time." Which is fine with me- I like trying new things, but I hoped he would have liked his entree more.

I didn't feel like having any fights tonight, so I let the girls get Mac & Cheese...and the truth, Cali Grill still has REALLY good mac& cheese. If only Kendall was OK with me taking a pic of it.

DH had shared the ravioli and flatbread with me, but Yoshi's platter was ALL MINE!

What's funny- the girl who served it to me saw me busting out the camera. I guess she's used to people taking food pics, because she gushed about how this really was a good one to photograph...and she's right! Beautiful and YUM! We chatted briefly about me doing a trip report and a few online reviews- so all was good.

At least Sammie is fine with food/eating pics...probably becasue she ATTACKED her food.

The girls had wanted nothing to do with our 2 starters and had been through a bit of bread...so as Sammie likes to put it "Mommy- when is the food coming? My tummy is about to growl."

Up next...dessert!

If you saw my PTR, you probably saw my final cake sketch. It took soooo long for me to get there and I was really nervous (especially after the botched surprise) that Sammie wouldn't like the cake. I just wanted it to be perfect since Kendall got a 5th bday Disney cake that she loved.

So, about the time we're on entrees I happen to notice this table of women diagonally across from us, right along the walkway past the kitchen. They are all excited over something...just ooooing and ahhhhing...and then...I SAW IT! They were oooing and ahhing over a cake...OUR CAKE! I started bobbing around in my seat like an impatient little child trying to get a better look, but then I realized- the girls will notice. So, I settled down and just nudged DH to see if he saw...which he did. They placed it on the side counter and left it there until we'd finished our meal. I wanted to go take a pic and check it out before it was time, but I knew doing so would just alert the girls to the "elephant in the room." I even insisted they finish their dinners and made them watch Illuminations from the table (thankfully, they forgot about the back deck, so it wasn't a hard fight).

But when the time was right and everyone was ready, the cake was brought to our table...

[url=http://www.flickr.com/photos/houcusechickie/8226365916/]

Sammie was in shock, Kendall was excited, DH and I were all smiles, and then everyone in the general area sang Sammie Happy Birthday.

We also got a family pic in the middle of all of this...

[url=http://www.flickr.com/photos/houcusechickie/8226361322/]

Our server was also kind enough to give me some extra time to take pics of the cake before slicing it up...

[url=http://www.flickr.com/photos/houcusechickie/8225282677/]

[url=http://www.flickr.com/photos/houcusechickie/8226352268/]

[url=http://www.flickr.com/photos/houcusechickie/8226350874/]

Sorry, just LOVE the cake!

Not long after, we were brought out nice slices of the cake...

[url=http://www.flickr.com/photos/houcusechickie/8225269823/]

and it was DELISH!

The remainder of the cake was boxed up and Mickey got his own little gold box. NICE!

[url=http://www.flickr.com/photos/houcusechickie/8225268291/]

Holiday Wishes was about to go off, so we all excused ourselves from the table to head out to the deck. Of course the deck was pretty well filled up by the time we got out there. There was one little spot left for me right by the door. Of course that door is an automatic door and it squeezed into me every single time it opened. Still, I had a nice view.

[url=http://www.flickr.com/photos/houcusechickie/8225256265/]

[url=http://www.flickr.com/photos/houcusechickie/8226313892/]

I was just having the most horrible time trying to take pics of Holiday Wishes. What's funny- I had a hard time with it back in 2010 as well. Not sure why. Probably just me. The door squishing me into the railing didn't help either. I guess at least I got a few ok shots towards the end.

[url=http://www.flickr.com/photos/houcusechickie/8226307426/]

[url=http://www.flickr.com/photos/houcusechickie/8225234129/]

[url=http://www.flickr.com/photos/houcusechickie/8226305074/]

It was time to head back in, settle the bill (which would not be pretty because of the cake), and head out.

Looks like Cali Grill was still sort of in fall mode a bit...
[url=http://www.flickr.com/photos/houcusechickie/8226302296/]

It was late, we were tired, and we were going to try and make morning EMH at DHS the next day...so we headed "home" and crashed out in bed.

UP Next...DAY 3- DHS, the first of our breakdowns, a whole lotta Star Tours, and the Search for the Purple Cat

wow!! you made me incredibly jealous that Cali Grill is going to be closed when I go on my trip. That meal looked like a pretty memorable experience for your whole family. Such cute kiddos you got! Can't wait for more!

Always love your reports and just how much planning and attention to detail to put into your trips! Can't wait for more (and must admit I've been stalking the boards for over a week, waiting for your TR)!!!

I LOVE the Boardwalk. You guys definitely need to try it out sometime...Yacht Club is definitely on my list of places I want to stay too, though.

The cake looks amazing! Great design. Aaaaaaand now I want cake. :D

That's not a vulture! That's a bald eagle! What a lucky find!

Anyway, loving your report! Almost all caught up. I really need to get to the BWV and take pics in their lobby. Last time we went over to the boardwalk, I couldn't figure out how to get to the hotel section. We are staying at BC in January so that will be a priority! Being a Jersey girl myself, it does have a lot of meaning to me too. I even rented a house in Margate during college one school year. Lucy was right down the street! The clown pool still creeps me out but I would still swim in it if I stayed there!

I'm sorry...I have a friend who is the same boat. They always hit all of the sigs and she's so sad it's going to be closed on her next trip. Thanks! They are my little hams...and yes, it was a wonderful night! I'll hopefully be posting new stuff in just a little bit. :D

Thanks so much!!! :) I think this is why a lot of my friends have me plan their trips. Speaking of which, I need to start working on a high school graduation trip for a friend's daughter. I'm hoping to get more posted on this trip tonight. Thanks for reading!!!

I think it was a trip report from you that really had me considering BW. While Yacht was nice, I wish I'd gotten over the whole Luna Park thing and just stayed there. Just sooooo nice!

I'm so happy with the cake. You always get nervous turning your designs over to another person. Sorry about wanting cake- that just kind of the pitfall of cake pics. The pics make me miss the cake leftovers we later finished off. I miss cake. :D

Loving your report. That cake was awesome! Oooooooh! Aaaaaaaaah!

Thanks! I truly love the cake. If I can pull together a trip for my big bday, I may just get to design another one... and this time it will be for me! :D Thanks for reading!

Love this shot! I like the way it is gray and colorless but the lights are colorful and really pop!

Every time I see that shot it looks exactly like it felt that day. Gray and drizzly, but those lights jumped out in all of the gloom.

Wow! I did not even notice the white head. We saw it land on the swan and it had a massive wingspan. I figured it was either a turkey or black vulture, but I enlarged the pic some more and it most definitely looks like a bald eagle. I lived in FL for several years and never heard of them in the state, but did some reading today and wouldn't you know it...they have a growing population in FL and are often seen around DTD.

For the heck of it I saved a super cropped copy and I think it's pretty evident now what it is...
8251295630_9a15bb51f1_o.jpg

Great Catch!!! Now I'm really kicking myself for leaving my bigger lens back in the room.

They sounds pretty awesome having a house down in Margate during college. There are some really neat places right around there. I remember thinking I'd love a little vacay place in that area.

I was really shocked that I was OK with the clown in person. I see it in my pics and it freaks me out a bit, but in person - no issues. I was expecting it to be like Tilly - the funhouse face on the old Asbury Park Palace (creeps me out too much to post it, but here's a link ...http://www.flickr.com/photos/mikeblackphotos/2723242716/ ) . Still- definitely worth a visit to BW.

Thanks! Just so happy that they made a fairly faithful interpretation of my sketch. It really was an awesome trip. Can't believe you're leaving in 5 days...but at least you'll get holidays in full swing and Test Track open. Jealous!!! Thanks for reading!

Well back tracking a hair...big thanks to @Kristia for catching that it was a bald eagle resting atop the Swan. Very cool!!!

OK...so one little thing I failed to mention at the end of nt 2...a very VERY large Ryder truck pulled up to the Yacht Club just as we were heading in. There were a lot of CMs whispering feverishly as it pulled up and I could have sworn I'd heard the word "DECORATIONS." I'd forget about it by morning, but at the time- I made a little wish that I'd wake up to a decorated Yacht Club by morning. I'd always heard that the 17th was often the magical decoration day for most of the Disney resorts, so I was hoping it would ring true for us.

We were hoping to make it up in time for morning EMH at DHS, but we were definitely dragging. I think we left our room right around 8am. The plan was to head to the lobby to fill up our cups at Compass & Ale, and we were greeted by this beauty as we entered the lobby...

At this point everyone kind of guessed that I'd want to get some pics before we left for the day, and they were right! My dad's fave hobby is fishing and I spent most of my summers growing up down the shore- so I tend to really like nautical themed stuff. So, pardon my little obsession with taking pics of the ornaments on the tree...I just couldn't stop!

So, we still needed to get drinks so we headed into Ale & Compass...which was also decorated.

I mean really, who else would hang a compass from a wreath?!?!?

We got our drinks, but I was very sad that the morning staff at Ale & Compass were also quite grumpy. I know it's early, but it was really starting to bug me that most of these people weren't very pleasant. Oh well- I was off to a park so it's easy enough to forget about it.

So, we headed out to the boat and found even more decorations outside.

We had a little bit of a wait, so what else is there to do but take pictures!

Cool that we can also see the balloon going up from here...

So, finally we get a boat and have now arrived at our first park for the trip.

I have to admit that I am not a fan of going anywhere other than MK on my first park day, but it is what it is. I wanted that Be Our Guest ADR and it meant shifting things around...so, ya make sacrifices.

When we arrived at the gates there was quite a crowd waiting to get in. Not sure who this guy is in my shot...I mean- I would have preferred it if he photobombed me. Now that would have been funny!

So, we're starting to freak out until we realize - HEY- It's before 9AM! Meaning we made it for the tail end of EMH. So, we head right in and bypass this chaos. Now, it's not 8am quiet, but it's not park just opened crowds rushing in either.

Nobody...

And naturally, we head here first...

So, there were still FastPasses available for TSMM, but the standby time was also crazy low...like either 15 or 20 min. And while I've only done standby on here once, my experiences and other experiences I've read about usually show that the standby time is grossly overestimated. I mean, the one time we did it- standby was 80 min and I think our wait was 40-45. I know, not great but also a far cry from 80.

So, we get in line and I do what I do...ya know...take pics...

(girls didn't even recognize this as they've changed the game so much)

(Kendall does not want to see this dr, but Sammie thinks he could be fun...tsk)

[url=http://www.flickr.com/photos/houcusechickie/8227936071/]

We were moving along at a nice pace and it was looking like we'd made the right choice UNTIL the line came to a halt...a not moving anywhere anytime soon...halt...well, except for people leaving the line out of frustatration. It hit a point where the girls really lost their patience...and I was as well...and thought this might be a nice thing for them at the moment...

[url=http://www.flickr.com/photos/houcusechickie/8227934793/]

I mean, just look at her...you know she's up to no good!

[url=http://www.flickr.com/photos/houcusechickie/8227933549/]

This one...well, not much better.

[url=http://www.flickr.com/photos/houcusechickie/8228997256/]

At some point, they started announcing that Andy and his friends had come over to play and that the ride would be delayed. Great.

So, I'm staring at this thing thinking it might be nice to have a set of tinker toys to pass the time...

[url=http://www.flickr.com/photos/houcusechickie/8228995954/]

...and that's when the same message about Andy came on for the 6th or 7th time. DH and I looked at each other and decided that it's not worth wasting the rest of our day waiting...so we managed to work through the crowd and get out of line. I'm also thankful to the man who found the switchback latch for me b/c unlike DH...I'm not too keen on climbing over things.... Especially with a big backpack.

We probably should have grabbed fastpasses on the way out, but everyone was just itching to go do something so we cut our losses and moved on.

Upon seeing this, Sammie reminded me that we still needed to find her a sword...

[url=http://www.flickr.com/photos/houcusechickie/8227927523/]

Nobody else was in the mood to go looking for swords, so we headed over to Star Tours.

[url=http://www.flickr.com/photos/houcusechickie/8228992204/]

If you read my 2011 TR, Kendall had just hit 40", but Sammie was still under and it caused several meltdown tantrums. Well this time, we were pretty sure Sammie would measure up...but this was the first test.

Happy to report that Sammie measured up and for the first time... we were riding something with a 40" requirement as a family. We all had this collective sigh of relief because it also meant this trip would be able to cover so much new ground for the girls.

The line was very short so we rode standby...

[url=http://www.flickr.com/photos/houcusechickie/8227921471/]

This probably would have been my fave photo of the trip had the flash not fired.

[url=http://www.flickr.com/photos/houcusechickie/8227917435/]

This is a bit better.I don't know why, but she kind of reminds me of Ralphie from A Christmas Story in these shots.
[url=http://www.flickr.com/photos/houcusechickie/8228980962/]

In all honesty, I think she's just nervous. DH and I hyped it up a bit that she's finally getting to go on a big girl ride...but the good news...she LOVED it! And was ready to do some of her own flying afterwards.

[url=http://www.flickr.com/photos/houcusechickie/8227905197/]

She wanted to go right back on, but I suggested we try something else first...
[url=http://www.flickr.com/photos/houcusechickie/8228969882/]

I also didn't feel like getting stuck in here...
[url=http://www.flickr.com/photos/houcusechickie/8227900951/]

...so I kind of tried to focus them away from it. I mean, it's a fun place and all, but I just didn't feel like spending our time in there- at least not at the moment.

Thankfully, they really like the Muppets...so Muppetvision 3D it is!!!

We must have entered just as the last show went in because it started to feel like we'd been waiting a while, but not long after thinking that...the doors opened and we went to our seats.

[url=http://www.flickr.com/photos/houcusechickie/8227883699/]

Now just waiting for Waldorf and Statler to start up...

[url=http://www.flickr.com/photos/houcusechickie/8227882367/]

I love them!
[url=http://www.flickr.com/photos/houcusechickie/8227878797/]

I know not everyone loves this show and think it could be redone with better 3D, but I still usually enjoy it. And while I don't see 3D well, the girls do and this is one of their faves...plus the Swedish Chef making his appearance at the end is always a plus.

We saw Phineas and Ferb in their holiday attire after the Muppets. I was not waiting on that line, but still cool to see them all festive.

[url=http://www.flickr.com/photos/houcusechickie/8228941532/]

And the girls stopped to pose with Ducky MoMo

[url=http://www.flickr.com/photos/houcusechickie/8227873603/]

Also got a glimpse of one of my fave storefronts...

[url=http://www.flickr.com/photos/houcusechickie/8227872239/]

...I also opted not to go in because I knew I'd spend $$$$ I just didn't want to part with at that time...even if it was for me stuff!

We had kind of lost our focus...one minute I'm looking at Osborne Lights by day...

[url=http://www.flickr.com/photos/houcusechickie/8227866755/]

[url=http://www.flickr.com/photos/houcusechickie/8227864247/]

...next minute I'm looking at the Lightning and Mater M&G and thinking about the girls' priceless reaaction to this one last trip...

[url=http://www.flickr.com/photos/houcusechickie/8228935556/]

...and as DH started griping about not enough to do in this park, I started thinking maybe we'd do Muppets again...

[url=http://www.flickr.com/photos/houcusechickie/8228934604/]

Then it hit me- we hadn't eaten! And it was about 10 min until 11...YUP- he's crabby because he's hungry.And this is our closest option...

[url=http://www.flickr.com/photos/houcusechickie/8227860673/]

...which is fine since we've had good luck here. The lines were already about 4 people deep each, so I hurry up to get on line so we don't have to wait too long. As I'm waiting, I see the sign for their fall cupcake offering...pumpkin with maple frosting!

Only problem- it has nuts. Boooooo.

I don't know what other people's experiences are like at Studio Catering Co. but I give them very high marks. The CMs manning the register were wonderful...even with the idiots. I hate to say that, but please- there is no reason to get upset with these people over prices or over you neglecting to specify certain details of your order in the ordering process. The lines these ladies were dealing with were over 20 deep by the time they opened at 11, they are not just courteous- they're NICE, and they're highly efficient. Sorry- just bothers me so much when people act like others are beneath them.

In any event, the CM who rang up my order was even kind enough to work in all of Kendall's allergy issues- which doesn't always happen at QS. She also offered to do the same for Sammie at no cost since she'd hoped it would prevent any arguments over dessert. Now that's service! It didn't stop there though. We had enough food to fill up 2 trays, but it was just me (DH was way back at the table watching the kids). I suggested the manager behind the counter just dump it all onto one tray and I'd manage, but next thing you know, he is on the other side of the counter and he's helping me carry that second tray out to the table...and he truly seemed so happy to help like this...and we really appreciated it.

So, now for the food....I had the pressed Tuscan deli sandwich...

DH had the pressed club...

[url=http://www.flickr.com/photos/houcusechickie/8227856353/]

I think Kendall just had chicken, but Sammie tried the kids version of the pressed grilled veggie sandwich...

[url=http://www.flickr.com/photos/houcusechickie/8227852835/]

And while the girls had grapes...the grown ups finished with cheesecake.

[url=http://www.flickr.com/photos/houcusechickie/8227851443/]

DH liked his, but was suprised by it because it wasn't like a traditional club. I could never get a straight answer on how exaclty that was, but he still said it was very good. I LOVED mine- super tasty. It was a bit of an effort getting Sammie to eat because the veggie sammy sounded better in theory than it looked to her, but once she had a few bites...she liked it and Kendall sampled some as well.

We hadn't really done much, but it felt nice to relax. I snapped a few pics...

[url=http://www.flickr.com/photos/houcusechickie/8228916004/]

...but we decided it was time to get a move on. I have mixed feelings about the Backlot Tour, but DH had never done it and was upset that we hadn't done it on the last two trips. Sooooooo- we opted to appease him and do this next.

We had a bit of a delay because someone in the previous group lost their wedding ring in the water...so they had to stop everything to find the ring. It sounded like they found it- which was good- but it's still never fun to wait longer than you'd intended. Still, we were moving on in pretty quickly...

[url=http://www.flickr.com/photos/houcusechickie/8228899526/]

...and then our volunteers made their way in...

[url=http://www.flickr.com/photos/houcusechickie/8227832015/]

While it's kind of interesting to watch this part...

...the poor girls were bordering on boredom...mainly because they couldn't see much and we couldn't do much to lift them beyond picking them up here and there (which isn't always practical with Kendall).

The girls did appreciate the Hannah Montana link with this...

[url=http://www.flickr.com/photos/houcusechickie/8227786047/]

...even though they still call her Hannah Ontana.
