Only the longest running Science Fiction show of all time. Started back in 1963, ran consistently with new episodes until 1989. Went on "hiatus" since it was never officially cancelled. A TV movie was done in 1996 on Fox, but wasn't handled well, didn't get the numbers Fox wanted so it went no further until last year, when the first new season of Doctor Who aired on the BBC. The next new season starts in a couple of months, but Sci-Fi channel finally paid the money to have it broadcast here starting in March. They will air the new season from last year with an option to air the second and third new seasons as well. A look at my avatar will show you many of the actors who played the role of "The Doctor" over the years, including the newest actor, David Tennant. (Aren't you glad you asked?)
