AND I'M NOT EVEN EXCITED! :(

I always pictured the big "EIGHTEEN" to be super exciting and event-filled. I guess it would be, if I wasn't a triplet. One sister is in Montreal and one is in VENICE. How lonely for me. :(

So that gets me the point of the post: What did you guys do for your 18th birthdays, and what was your most MEMORABLE birthday?

My birthday will involve going to a local club with the few friends who are still around here, and then scaring little children and stealing candy. I'm jk about the last part... or maybe not...

Get up for your day - you only turn 18 once! My 18th was a mixture of good and bad - it always fell during final exams. . . but back then you could legally buy beer on your 18th birthday in my state. :D

I went out to dinner with my then boyfriend and then he took me to see a movie and gave me a nice bracelet. Nothing special.

Best birthday would be a tie between (although every birthday is awesome because I share it with my best friend):
-16th birthday (good friend of mine ran into the volleyball net and still gets teased about it 5 years later)
-17th birthday (football game in the morning and then party at night during which my large friend flew 5 feet across my backyard after being tackled by another friend)
-20th birthday (dinner with my best friend and 2 other friends and then movies and ice cream with my West Circle girls)
-21st birthday (I turned 21, enough said)

None of my birthdays have really had any real excitement to them. I was expecting something for my 16th, but it was probably the least interesting out of the ones I've had. I don't really see my doing anything for 18 or 21.

My 18th b-day was not at all how I pictured it to be. I remember being at home...watching tv...and maybe dinner with friends.

Anyhow...

Happy Birthday...Make it Special!

In 4 1/2 hours, buy a pack of cigarettes and never smoke them. Just cause you can.

Then rent a car and pay $25/per day extra. Just cause you can.

Then find a creepy 20something older guy like me and let him flirt on you. Just cause he can't go to jail anymore

Then admit yourself to a hospital without your parents consenting to your treatment. Just cause you can.

Happy Birthday Christina!

I honestly don't remember what I did for mine...which is sad because it was only a few years ago. I know I bought a lottery ticket...but I think that was about it. I know, I'm really exciting!

Happy Birthday

When I turned 18, I had friends over along with the family. I'm not much of a club-going person...oh no wait...that's because there's no good clubs here for under 21 :lookaroun

Anyhoo...when I turn 21 I'll probably do more :D But enjoy the years because they go by way too fast

After about 13, birthdays have pretty much become like any other day to me.

Same thing here. I've never treated it as anything else but just another day ever since I was in high school.

I can't really say what it was that I did on my 18th birthday. Probably went out to dinner with family, but really, it was over 10 years ago. I only remember bits and pieces of birthday's now. Highlights include drinking sake for the first time while eating sushi on my 21st birthday, having dinner at the Fireworks Factory at Pleasure Island(back during the early days of PI. Motion is now in the building that housed that wonderful eatery), and I remember waaaaaayyyy back when I turned six or seven years old, that I received the Micheal Jackson album "Thriller" from my cousing Vicki and a die cast Star Wars playset which was the area of Cloud City where Luke fought with Vader. Came with little Luke and Vader figures and you could launch Luke out the large window, just like he was in the movie.

Now all those creepy looks from older, balding guys are suddenly legal. Congratulations!

I don't remember 18. My birthday is in the summer, and everyone was scattered with family vacations or working, so it was never a big deal. Plus, my Dad's b'day is 5 days before, so we always had some family dinner on the Saturday closest to the day.

However, my son will be 18 on Jan 1. (Perhaps this is another reason I can't remember turning 18...or 20.....or 26....or 32...you get the idea)

Once again, we will do the all night New Year's Eve/Birthday thing. I expect at least 30 teenagers, most of whom will leave around 2 AM. I will have 10 or so all night. Breakfast is at 6, then off they go.

18? Hmmmmm...... thinks back 30 years......

the year I turned 18 I got to vote (my birthday was Election Day!), you could buy beer (but I didn't drink) and I was in college.

My most memorable was my 37th...I was in labor with Princess #2 (she was born the next day) and it was the first time since turning 18 that I didn't get to vote, but boy did I get some present!

Oh yeah, 40 was a bad one for me, black cake and balloons from my sister, over the hill stuff from my SIL...

If you are lonely just think how your sisters feel! Call them, email them and then go out and celebrate... you only turn 18 once in your life!
