I'm surprised to see some wanting to "change" the Dreamfinder character. If he was as popular as some of you want to think, why would they EVER supplant the vintage character with some hollywood face? That makes absolutely no sense. Unless of course you really think DF was creepy, wasn't really popular with the general guest and needs a facelift to a pop character to be potentially vital.

What the character looks like does not matter. It's the idea of the character that's important. The creator and incubator if you will of imagination. the one who sticks the seed in a people's brains so that fanciful things can grow from it, not to mention Figment's creator. That's what's important, and it's what has been missing ever since he was taken out. The face of the character is not important, it's the message. The original was a little odd looking, but he was still a great character. And if giving him a new face will show that great character to more people, I'm fine with a change.

In trying to keep this from turning into another one of our POINTLESS arguements, I am just going to reiterate what I said:

If a face has to be assigned to the Dreamfinder, I would vote, Attenborough!

My feelings on the Dreamfinder are the same as they have always been, and they will never change.

Did you know that Connery was originally supposed to be Mufasa in the Lion King before they settled on James Earl Jones?

Only if they had the incredibly stupid, yet hilarious, video of "Jump In My Car" playing.

I think you are on to something. The David Hasselhoff Imagination Pavilion. His awful (yet hilarious) music videos are on a constant loop, and the ride is reworked to become a timeline of his career. You begin with Knight Rider, show some Baywatch, and involve some of the highlights, such as singing on the Berlin Wall.

Honey, I shrunk the Audience will be renamed "Captain David", and will just be a 17 minute 3D film that zooms in on his chest hair.

Of course, the pavilion will be worked by Germans, and only Germans.

I don't hate the movie... I hate that I wasted $14 to see it in Imax. Only two-three action/fight scenes - you gotta be kidding me!
Apparently, you missed the point of the movie. I can't stand the fact that everybody thought it would be a "Hollywood blockbuster" movie. It wasn't about fight scenes, not at all.

I'm with you. I enjoyed the movie a ton and it was even better after the 2nd viewing. I'm not a political person AT ALL, but I could still appreciate the story as pure fiction. If you want to make any comparisons to past or present regimes, that's up to you.

Normally I would apologize for continuing the thread drift, but I think everyone has given their 2 cents on this issue.
