The problem is that I can't sit still... I'm all antsy. There are only two situations in which I can really sit still for extended periods of time... all other times, I have to get out and do something...

I hope one of those times is driving a bus. Speaking of which, when did you go back to transportation. I know you were at Pop Century as a part of the opening crew, was that only temporary?

Oh, but of course!! One of the things about driving my bus is that is one of the rare times that I can clear my mind, and actually relax. Well, until some moron cuts me off and I have to slam on the brakes.

I went back August 1st. I loved it at Pop, don't get me wrong... but Front Desk wasn't for me. Well, not that I spent much time there. I spent most of my time in the back office, tied to a desk, computer and phone. I missed driving too much, so I had to go back. Well, there were a few other reasons, but that's the basic.

Well, I've washed all the dirty laundry, made dinner, cleaned the kitchen, went for a walk, and it's still too early to go to bed! I moved my mother in earlier, as the forecast called for the rains to start around 3PM. No rains yet; some gusty wind, but not too bad. I suspect the storm will arrive during the night, so I'll wake up to no power.

I know how you guys feel, even though i am not going through what you guys are but I am taking care of my mom since she is not able to move around that well right now due to the fact she had surgery on her knee. But I feel for you guys.

at least you weren't stuck in 2 different plains slying to VA.... im still going crazy from the trips on that.... (My head also still hurts) and to think i could be at home waiting for the storm..... (Im stuck watching it on TV and calling my friends on my cell...

This hurricane is what South Louisiana is dreading. We know it will happen one day. It's not the wind; it's the fact it is moving so slow. We are below sea level, and the surge and flooding rains will put us under.
