Lagoon shows have worked for 28 years now without needing advance booking. Why does it need it now? Why should those who know about needing to, being able to, and how to book have a superior experience over those who don't?

Except the equivalent of this new thing already exists. So using your argument.. we could argue this has already worked for years.. so what's the big deal?

There is no comparison to World Of Color. That show, for various reasons, needs fast pass to cope with the demand. Not ideal, again for various reasons. RoE does not. It has good spots and bad spots, sweet spots and not so sweet. Lagoon shows have worked for 28 years now without needing advance booking. Why does it need it now? Why should those who know about needing to, being able to, and how to book have a superior experience over those who don't?
Why not? As I said, it's simply another option.

Not sure what the big deal is. If you don't want to use FP+ for fireworks then don't use it. It's not like they're saying you can't watch the show without FP+. It's 2 spots that are reserved. You are still free to show up 3 hours early to "save" a spot. I will be over on the rides knowing my spot is reserved.;). IMHO using FP+ for rides is a lot more of a drag assuming that you will have to book your time up to 6 months in advance. You can't be as spontaneous if you are locked into a 3pm reservation at Space Mountain. For a show there is already a set start time. It's not like you can say I'll watch illuminations at 8pm tonight instead of waiting until 9PM. If I am already locked into illuminations at 9PM why not book a reserved spot and avoid waiting around for it to start.

Okay Seriously, Calm Down.

World Showcase is massive. There's 100,000 spots (Almost Literally) to watch this show. Having small sections in Germany and World Showcase Plaza reserved for Fastpass+ isn't going to change anything. Half the time those spots are reserved for special events anyway.

No one threw this big a stink for Wishes Fastpass+ Location, If I might add that as a side note.

The report in the first post states...

"Two locations are going to be trialled, one near Germany and the other in World Showcase Plaza"

World Showcase Plaza is the already sectioned of space for the Illuminations dinner grand gathering, dessert party, handicap viewing, Candlelight Processional and the Secrets of Futureworld tour if not other things. To me, while I think this whole FP+ ideas is out of hand as I don't want to have a detailed itinerary 190 days out (gotta get those 10 extra days as a resort guest), this may more negatively Impact those people who have paid for an experience than a general guest.

We always watch ROE from World Showcase Plaza. We always show up an hour early and wait. Does this now mean we can't watch it from there without a FP+?

Yes Every Night Everything from Mexico to Canada back to Fountain View will be Fastpass+ Only. /sarcasm

Guys....I'm sure it'll be a relatively small area. No larger than any of the other various special event viewing locations around the lagoon.

I better get my bowel movements down to the exact hour before we leave in February so that I can get FASTPASS+ tickets to the restrooms. Loving the Nextgen MAGIC!!

I'm OK with this as long as the local social media stars have to stand in the back with the rest of us poor day guests. Then let's see how much cheer leading we hear on the podcasts.

Forget FP+ for Wishes........Now if they offer Fast Exit I'm in!

Actually, if one of the options was to have a bus waiting for me so I didn't have to wait in line, I might actually choose that one.

Oh gosh that's funny. That's really funny. Do you write your own material? Do you? Because that is so fresh. I've never heard anyone make that joke before. Mmm. You're the first. I've never heard anyone reference, um reference that being part of the program before. Gosh, what a clever, smart person you must be, to come up with a joke like that by your self. Mmm. That's so fresh, too. God you're so funny!

Why not? Now there is an option other than holding onto a spot for an hour or so before hand. Now you won't have to worry about late arrivals busting into the spot you have been saving for an hour.

Well, other than late arrivals who also have a Fastpass, and now have an even greater sense of entitlement because "I spent $ X on this Super Fastpass so I should be able to walk right up 30 second to show time and get front row access!"

I guarantee people with FP will be camped out for the best spots within the viewing area as soon as the "gates" are opened. Compare with the massive early line for those who buy "premium" access to Candlelight (friend roped me into that on Saturday, what a cluster).

If your going to be sarcastic, at least try and do it with some style. Thats just pitiful, unless of course your 12.

There are currently no plans to charge for Fastpass+.
