Illuminations questions

Interesting, because from most of the opinions I’ve read of people who’ve seen both, they wished Disney Sea would inherit Illuminations. I haven’t seen the former, so I wouldn’t know, just relaying what I've read.

Really? That's interesting. Actually, there seems to be a lot going on with the Disney Seas Symphony. A whole lot more lasers and use of lights and fireworks. And then with Mt. Prometheus in the background belching flames and then shooting fireworks, very neat effect.

Still, I'll always hold a soft spot for Illuminations. I agree with others' comments about the music. I loved it so much on my last visit that I bought the soundtrack and we kept playing it during our vacation.

my idea

is it just me or was illuminations longer for the 25 year celebration?? i had a great idea that with all the lasers stuff that they do on the ball that they should of had walts face saying thank you for a wonderful 25 years of magic .. is'nt that a great idea?? with all the money that disney has i'm surprised that it has'nt been done yet with walt talking somehow ( yes even though he's no longer alive) please , disney can do anything!!!

I have yet to hear a musical arrangement that tops Disney's Illuminations. It's so exciting. I've spent many a night in my dorm room with that song on repeat, keeping my roommate awake. :) Oh well, he'll live. It's all worth it for Illuminations!

Oh superb! I never saw it `live` - I only saw Laserphonic Fantasy and Illuminations (original). And of course Roe! Many thanks.

Oh I wish!! All I have is the front page of the WDW newspaper featuring the show. I`ve never seen any video of it anywhere :(

I agree. I have never heard a piece of music so beautifully composed. I listen to the Illuminations CD all the time.:)

Just noticed your post! Sorry for ignoring it!

Thanks, but I`m after the show that played 1996-1999.

It costs 3 million dollars a night, and they put the TV on the Globe with lasers, aimed at it from Mars.

P.S. I hate when people make up answers, or just say things without citing sources :hammer:

Maybe Disney could open the CoP year round if they didn't spend $3 million a night on illuminations:D
