Since we are staying at an Epcot area resort, I know we'll make it to Illumintaions one night. I would love to see wishes as well, but I'm concerned about it being so late in the evening for us (we are morning people). I think I saw that it starts at 10 p.m.? Do they ever do an earlier show in the winter, being that it gets dark earlier?? (we're going in December) By the time it would end and we arrived back at the resort it would be so late. Are we really missing out if we don't see it??

Wishes is not always at the same time every night but even if it were late its something worth staying up to see. I loved Wishes so much I tryed to see it every night on our last trip even though we were exhausted an our feet were killing us I dragged the family out there anyway. It brings tears to eyes everytime I see it. Illuminations is nice to but Wishes is my favorite.

Holiday Wishes is the best, then Wishes for me. I like Illuminations but just having fireworks at the castle seals the deal for me.

We never miss Wishes. They do have it earlier in the winter. When it gets dark earlier, fireworks are earlier. Wishes makes me tear up every time. We always get near the castle because my kids love to see Tink close up. They didn't believe she was a real person the first time, so we got up close so they could see her better.

IMO try to catch both shows.

We make both every night. Missing fireworks at WDW is not an option. You can sleep when you get home in a few days and there are no fireworks shows to see.

We saw both Wishes and Illuminations on our last visit saving Wishes for our last night.

Wishes was amazing, we stood on Main Street at the top of the bridge and the show was amazing. Times perfectly to the music. Put tis on your "don't miss" list for sure!

Both are excellent shows, but I'd say if you only would do one, I'd watch wishes. I just about cry every time I even hear the music. Plus, what can beat seeing Fireworks behind the Castle

I love both of these shows, you should try and see both of them, if I had to pick between the two though, Illuminations Reflections of Earth wins hands down. This is the most incredible show with the most incredible music in history in my opinion.

There's no way I could honestly pick. Both are great. If you're morning people, just bite the bullet and stay up late to catch Wishes. You really would miss out, if you didn't get both in.

I wouldn't miss wishes, we saw it twice last year on our trip and it brought tears to my eyes both times. I have the wishes CD, I love listening to it, the music is great, even though the music is great I am so anxious to see the show again in a couple of weeks because the fireworks make the music even better. Definately a magical show!!

Thank you all! Now I will for sure drag my DH and DH out at night to see Wishes. Now I just need to make up my mind if we should attend a MVMCP along with it!! Thanks again!

Wishes

Be careful, on the nights of mickey's party you can't see wishes unless you fork over the extra cash. On the other nights the schedule varies so keep your dinner reservations and evening activities open for one of the nights

Make sure you read through some of the web places and maybe the guide books to get your own opinion.

The opinion above is very strong and very well stated, but the complete opposite of mine. Personally, I find the current Illuminations: Reflections of Earth to be quite boring and the musical score to be a bit of a let-down. My all-time favorite show is the old Illuminations 25 that they had back in the late 90's, but you don't hear many people talk about that one much. I thought that music was the best.

With current shows, I'll take Wishes and agree with the other messages here that talk about bringing tears to eyes all around you. On my next trip, I'll likely skip Reflections of Earth and use that time to hit more attractions with little to no lines...

My point is that each opinion is and always will be different on these kinds of things. Just do your best to read up on the show contents and then make your decision based on what you find out about show content.

Illuminations

This by far the best show of them all. The music and show elements are incredible. They are tied together so perfectly it is a great way to end the day. Illuminations is an exciting show with a great story. It is not something to be missed.

I much prefer Illuminations. Wishes is good, no question there, but I prefer the majesty and power of Illuminations.

It's strange, in a place where I love to let the kid in me out, I prefer the more grown up night time show
