Illuminations or Wishes? your favorite

We make both every night. Missing fireworks at WDW is not an option. You can sleep when you get home in a few days and there are no fireworks shows to see.

Ill agree with that if you skip out on fireworks...

Wishes is not to be missed, it is excellent. I also love Illuminations. I would also go the MVMCP too, as you will get to see the xmas parade and holiday wishes. On the nights that they are holding a party, they do not do fireworks for the day guests, since the park closes at 6p. I totally agree, you can sleep when you get home. If you do go one night and it is late, don't push yourself the next morning to get out at the crack of dawn. Having breakfast and starting the day a little later is okay, you won't melt or anything.

I love both of these shows, you should try and see both of them, if I had to pick between the two though, Illuminations Reflections of Earth wins hands down. This is the most incredible show with the most incredible music in history in my opinion.

I have to agree, Wishes is a great show...but for me, I enjoy Illuminations, Reflections of Earth is much more.

The music and firework syncronization is phenominal!!! I can't imagine how it could be improved upon.

Yes, Wishes is a pretty show, but Illuminations is far superior. The POWER and MUSIC from Illuminations is incredible. I always get goosebumps.

Illuminations. After seeing it 90 plus times while on my college program, i still can tell u when every fireworks will launch and explode haha. thats pretty bad, huh?

I say Whishes. Illuminations is great, but for some reason, I'd rather be in the MK watching the fireworks. Maybe it's the atmosphere of MK, but it just seems to be better there.

Illuminations is gorgeous....however, Wishes makes me cry everytime. It's honestly the best fireworks show in the entire world, and missing i would be horrible!

I much prefer Illuminations. Wishes is good, no question there, but I prefer the majesty and power of Illuminations.

Wishes by a mile. Illuminations is ok, but it just doesn't wow me like Wishes. Doesn't matter how many times I've seen it, I just love it. It's just amazing.

Just to add my 2 cents here, I haven't seen Wishes! yet, so I can't comment on it. I have heard nothing but good about it though. Illuminations is a great show, but by far my FAVORITE one is Fantasmic! If it isn't in your plans to see, think about adding it. It is a WONDERFUL show and has some really cool effects.

Since we are staying at an Epcot area resort, I know we'll make it to Illumintaions one night. I would love to see wishes as well, but I'm concerned about it being so late in the evening for us (we are morning people). I think I saw that it starts at 10 p.m.? Do they ever do an earlier show in the winter, being that it gets dark earlier?? (we're going in December) By the time it would end and we arrived back at the resort it would be so late. Are we really missing out if we don't see it??

WISHES! This is the best fireworks show in their history (my opinion of course) it is important to get a good vantage point or the show may not be presented to its fullest potential. I suggest fighting the crowds and watching it from the circle at the end of main street.

For me it has to be Illuminations. While Wishes is good, it doesn't have barges, fire, lasers, and a spinning video screen. While the same guy designed both, there are limits on what can be done over at MK.

Wishes is def. my favorite. Illuminations..while good and allows me to enjoy margaritas from Mexico which makes any show better...oh gee, I'm rambling....Ahhhh, Wishes!
