So we were going on Soaring back in March.. and it was our second time around.. and even though I personally am afraid of heights. .it was no problem..

but this time... a small boy is seated next to me.. and his mom goes.." See this is your buddy" pointing to me... He will be here to protect you.. ...

and so we take off.. and we do the ride and every thing is fine..

and Mom comes back.. and I tell her.. "Hey, I can't ride this again..".. Why not ? she askes me..

"Nope.. Not with out my buddy here to protect me"....I replied..

and the kid is just beaming..

just had to share this story today..

Ain't that always how it is at the World :) The kids are having such a good time, and you get sucked into there world. I had a similar experience on EE :) It really puts a smile on your face

That's cute! I had something like that happen on Alien Encounter. The little girl next to me was about 6 and her brother was probably 12. He was being a typical brother and being mean... next thing I know she's clung to my arm with her head buried in to it lol. It was cute. I help her hand all the way out and her parents were just a bit confused until I explained.

This reminds me of one time when we were skiing in Austria. We had taken the in-laws along to help with the babysitting, but they did not ski. We managed to persuade my mother-in-law, who has a fear of heights, to ride up in the gondola to the top of the mountain. Seeing the scared look on her face, my daughter said, "Don't worry Gran, I'll look after you." She was three.

I want to say that is such a great thing you did and just think you created magic for a child that everytime he thinks about Soarin he is going to remember his buddy!
