Did he offer any type of explanation or just "no".

Fail.

Someone asked him point blank 2 questions: WIll you bring back the original Monorail red and will adventures club return...if not at least move it to downtown disneyland and he said "Maybe on #1 but nope on #2"

It's dead and gone.

Most of the items have been shipped to HKDL, and I've heard from many people that AC just wasn't a big draw except for fanatic fanboys and CM's. Neither of which are a big drinking group, which was making the AC very little money.

Honestly, three threads now? Can we move on? I miss PI too, but this is getting a bit ridiculous.

You are wrong on so many levels.

Even if it was brought back, it would never live up to what you remember it to be. So everyone would just complain about that...

Once again, not true.

I'd like to see the exact words that were exhanged between Iger and the shareholder. It seems like the question was about AC going to Disneyland which was basically a wasted question.

Also, what is Monorail Red?

you realize the question was about bringing the Adventurers Club to downtown disney anaheim...

I agree but this is a highly emotional issue so people, including the OP, heard what they wanted to hear or are passing on a false rumor. Of course, the AC isn't coming back to the island formerly known as PI so the point is moot.

Many are still in denial however. By the way, I truly believe the anger people are showing eliminated any chance it will return.

I don't understand the monorail red question. Can somebody elaborate please? Thanks!

The guy was wondering if they could restore and put back on the track one of the original Mark 1 monorails that Bob Gurr created in the 50s. I didn't even know they still had them but apperantly they do.

It seems dumb to put it up on the track now especially since the brand new monorails are coming in and they are basically 21st century versions of the Mark 1 anyway.

Also, what is Monorail Red?

It was one of the first two monorail trains that opened on the Disneyland line in 1959, monorail red and monorail blue. When the beamway was extended to the Disneyland Hotel in 1961 they added a third train, monorail yellow.

I'm not sure what the question really means, as the old monorail red was destroyed for scrap decades ago. A new fleet of monorails arrived at Disneyland in '08 that looks a lot like the '59 originals, and the new version of monorail red is being used on the Disneyland beam as I type.

I think the person who asked this question was a bit off. Yet how funny that one of the questions from the audience at the shareholders meeting goes to some rabid Disneyland fanboy like that!

The question asked if AC was either going to reopen or if not at least move to downtown disney anaheim. Iger answered No.

If they were considering anything else Iger would have mentioned it.

Depends on where on the drawing board it is. I mean AC is still not technically closed. Sept 24th you can go to a dinner hosted by WDW Radio. It is not open to the public, but it is also not completely gone yet.
