IGER SAYS NO to Adventures Club

I would not look too much into Iger's comment:

1) The shareholder asked about moving AC to DTD in Cali.
2) Right now Disney is happy just hosting private events/shows at AC. There is even shows scheduled all the way in September so even if they did open it to the public it would not be until the end of 2009 if that is the earliest.

With number 2 point that could mean right now there are plans to bring back AC but in 6 months Disney will re-look at the situation and decide there is a cover per person with no Annual Pass (think Jellyrolls) and a 2 drink minimum per person (hypothetical) and bring back AC.

AC is gone.. get over it.... Most of the internior props have been removed at this point (as one poster stated, they have been shipped away)... The king of the company said the club is gone FOREVER... you can twist his words and intention any way you want, but it's true..

Find a new cause... Everything in your post is speculation at best. There is no plan to bring the club back in 6 months.. Just like there was no plan to reopen for the holidays, Jr's Bar Mitzvah, or Mickey Mouse Uncle's Aunt's Birthday... ITS CLOSED.... GONE.... It's a part of Yesterworld, and it's staying there.. The only plan for the club is to host the remaining events and then nuke the site from orbit.. IT's the only way to be sure..

Meanwhile.. I'll be happy to call WDW Events again and see if they are actually booking events at the AC... Last time this RUMOR came up, the CM on the phone thought I was insane for asking about holding a corporate event there.

What about WOL, its closed already anyway. That would make room for Horizons V2.

In my opinion the AC is about as dead as World of Motion and Horizons. Something that the Disney company is hoping will be forgotten about over time as new guests come to the resort.

I'm sure 10-20 years from now when WDI needs to make a new ride or restaurant to tie in with a new animated film they will dust off the designs of the Adventures Club and incorporate some of the elements into the project as a homage.
