So you can request a certain area? I'm curious about this because I'd love to work HM and I'll be moving in around a year or so to work at WDW. Also, how would I go about getting a job in attractions?

you can request it...but good luck actually getting it. It all depends on where they have openings.

at AK it would be:
tarzan rocks jsut behind the scenes or ushering people into seats
safaris
parade

at MK it would be:
anywhere except space mountain, adventure land.

it would hav eto be only those 2 parks coz there my fave and i know my way around them as if i am there everyday -i dont need a map.:)

I'd want to be an operations trainer at Fantasmic and Beauty and the Beast!
Oh, wait...

UHM...OOOH, I'd want to be a Tower bellhop!

Apply at Casting (near Downtown Disney, across from Pleasure Island). The Cast Member you speak to there will have more information about what positions are available; it changes frequently, depending on Disney's needs.

I already do work at WDW as a merchandise host at Expedition Everest's shop, Serka Zong Bazaar. What makes it even cooler is that I was among of the 25 or so CM's from across property picked to open up this new shop and that is such a monumental reward.

when i worked there, i was in ODF. if i were to have worked in attractions, i would have been most entertained with Tower of Terror, or perhaps the Animal Safari. i would LOVE to be able to interact with so many guests. i remember every time i go on the safari because of how entertaining the driver is.

I think it would be fun to work the Animal Safari, even though the whole special seems like it would be hard to memorize. Kilimanjaro is the attraction that I remeber the most because we had front seats and our host was from my home town, and every now and then should menchine something about Philadelphia. I also remenber it the best because she kinda had an anoying voice.

I'd love to either be a dancing butterfly in the spectromagic parade...or I'd settle for being a turkey leg lady......Not much....oh and I know some cm's say it and some do not...just to say "have a magical day"...god I'd love that...just the other day I called to make some ressie's and when I was all finished the women on the other end told me to "have a magical day"...I got goose bumps.....

God I miss disney...  Is it September 15th yet?????

Monorail Pilot hands down. Did anyone else hear about the duke of kent (UK)piloting the monorail the other day. If only i could do that.
I wouldn't mind the colour but hopefully not pink, red or gold i would prefer though.

I would say RnRC would be the best to work at. I have a related question, though...Is there an attraction that the majority of new hires want and if you have it, do they tell you that they wish they could trade with you?

I was a CM for over 4 years and I DID work Haunted Mansion. :D I worked at a bunch of different attractions at Magic Kingdom and (mostly) MGM while I was there.

For those current (and potential) CM interested in HM I would DEFINITELY recommend it. It's just as fun as you think it is. Though I strongly preferred working at MGM over the Magic Kingdom. MGM is just a calmer park. Magic Kingdom is always nuts with crowds, especially at the mansion. However, working inside the mansion itself gave me my best memories of being a CM. I could've worked the stretching rooms all day without a break. Plus, best costume in WDW. :)

I would actually drive the boats around from resort to resort. That way i never get sick of the parks and i can relax being on the water.

It has been a while, but when I was hired, I was given several choices. The CM who was doing the hiring told me Main Street Ops would be best, and he was right.

Nice thing about MS Ops (maybe different now) is all the variety. I drove the bus and cars down main street, set up for and worked parades, set up and worked stage shows at the castle, worked penny arcade and The Disney Story (dating myself now). I even was body guard to Michelle Jackson. It was great being able to roam around and not being confined to one specific location.
