If You Could...

As I've stated many a time before it would be a darkride in Toontown featuring the original characters. It would have scenes such as Mickey and the Beanstalk, Mickey's Trailer, Ghost Hunters, Steamboat Willie, The Beagle Boys breaking into Scrooge's Vault whilst Scrooge and the nephews thwart their plans, The Ship Builders, Sorceror's Apprentice, Mickey and Minnie's first kiss in Plane Crazy.

It boggles the mind how the Fab 5 don't have any attraction at all in Disney ANYWHERE!!!! The generation of today is forgetting about the characters as cartoon characters and thinks of them as park mascots only!!!

I wish there was a way to get this across to some Imagineer somewhere...

i would like a wooden roller coaster for indiana jones movies. that is the highest and longest in the world theme around indy adventures in hollywood studios

Good idea...I absolutely love wooden roller coasters! I would rather see one of those at DHS for Indiana Jones than the stunt show, you can only see it so many times! :p

An alltime favourite, this question but always a good one. The "What would YOU do if you were Disney CEO?"

Let me make this brief:

EPCOT:
Major WS-workover - New attractions in existing pavillons
Germany - River Cruise, but more adventureous and longer than the one
originally planned.

Japan: Mount Fuji-Rollercoaster with an attacking Godzilla inside the mountain.

United Kingdom: The Great British Ghost Tour - A much more scary, frightening and adult version of the haunted mansion, mixture of walk-thru and dark ride.

New Pavillons:

-Venezuela mostly as originally planned, with a fascinating elevated "Rainforest Ride" featuring Angel Falls and a lot of other highlights.

-Switzerland with the higher version of the Disneyland-Matterhorn ( I know, highly unrealistic after the opening of EE but I AM THE BOSS HERE :animwink:).

-Egypt with a Pyramid dark Ride that mixes history and fiction ( of course with mummys)

To be continued

Awesome suggestions, I like them! :animwink:

this would be good I think...you're right, i think alot of people forget the Fab 5 have/had some of the greatest cartoons EVER!! A ride featuring them would be perfect in Fantasyland

Definitely a Princess ride in Fantasyland!!! They're putting in The Little Mermaid and I am extactic!!! I would just love one where they put in all the Princesses!!!! Enchanted would be a fun one to do. The Nightmare Before Christmas would be my hope for a coaster/dark ride!!! That would be badass!!

If I could, I would relocate to Florida & become a Disney Bus Driver. Not really a park ride, but my driving has been described as scary, thrilling, nerve racking.....

Actually, not really a ride persay, but with the racetrack being used mostly for the Petty Experience, why not outfit some of the cars to resemble characters from Cars and have mock races? I've seen pictures of McQueen & Mater at DHS but I know that my son would be overjoyed (Heck I would too!) if he saw the actual vehicles tooling around the track.

Toy Story: The Musical at Magic Kingdom

Really? Apparently the Cruise-Line show bombed big-time.

No, what I meant was a POTC ride that was darker than the current one

Try wearing sunglasses. :lookaroun

Giving the fairly liberal Disney definition of an attraction, there's Philharmagic, the attractions in Toontown Fair (Barnstormer, Donald's Boat and Minnie and Mickey's houses). And there's the Mickey Mouse Revue at TDL and clones of the rides above spread across HKDL, TDL and DL.

Wow, I'm really being negative today. As for my blue-sky idea, a full-scale 'Alien' ride onboard the Nostromo (walk-through, dark ride, rollercoaster, whatever).

Philharmagic is really a Donald Duck movie, and i wouldn't call Toontown buildings rides featuring characters. Also clones of the rides don't count, that would be like saying Disney has 5 Haunted Mansion rides, when really, there is just 1 at each park.
Seriously, The Fab 5 are pretty much unemployed and just crashing at the Magic Kingdom's pad until their "acting" gig takes off, but you know what you guys it's been a really long time and it doesn't look like it's panning out, your just slumming really....:lookaroun

The Fab Five include Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald and Pluto, the majority of whom are featured heavily in Philharmagic and their respective attractions in Toontown Fair. It's just a gross exaggeration to say "the Fab 5 don't have any attraction at all in Disney ANYWHERE!!!!" when in fact, they do have quite a heavy presence in the forms of a 3-D movie, a rollercoaster, a playground and two walkthrough exhibits, not to mention being the focus around the lands of Toontown Fair and Camp Minnie-Mickey. Mickey is also the main protaganist of Fantasmic.

They really don't. Philharmagic is pretty much a DD movie with cameos by other characters. The character's living quarters aren't really attractions featuring the Fab 5. My rationale is this: You have a distinct SNow White ride, a Pooh ride and playground, 2 Toy Story rides, Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan etc., but it seems the presence of the Fab 5 is kind of vague because there are very good Fab 5 stories with lots of charm and character that are not featured at all. I'll grant you Philharmagic and Fantasmic for a grand total of 2 attractions featuring one or more Fab 5 characetrs, which is the grand total of Toy Story attractions and 1 more than Stitch. Mickey Mouse is in ONE more attraction than Stitch is....

No, what I meant was a POTC ride that was darker than the current one- like an actual coaster instead of the boat ride, does that make sense? I don't know about you, but the more I go on POTC, the more I walk off dissatisfied...

And I really hate it- I love POTC, but maybe I went on one too many times- would anyone else like a darker POTC? For some reason, I think I'm alone on this one! :lookaroun

i am totally with you on this one!

I've seen schematics drawings for a Nightmare Before Christmas ride, but I think it would be a HUGE ride. The film is such a cult classic. Also, a cool original ride would be a Disney Villains ride. You could place both of these in Disney's Hollywood Studios

It would be really cool too see what they would do with Nightmare Before Christmas. I don't think anyone can argue that they did an incredible job with other cult favourite The Twilight Zone.

You are onto something there. Although i don't know if they would do that, as we already have Space Mountain, and Alien on the GMR. Although i would love an Alien themed ride. I miss Alien Encounter :(

Well, the Alien scene of GMR is rumoured to be on the chopping block if GMR gets a refurb, so why not incorporate the franchise elsewhere in DHS? ;)

Build an "Animation" dark ride at the end of the Animation tour at DHS. There really is not too much to the tour these days, plus there is all of the old animators' offices back there.

Theme the ride to how the old movie at the end of the Animation Tour was organized. Start off with "Once upon a time," then show the establishment of the character, then fun song and comedy, then the villains and drama are shown....you get the idea. Each room wouldn't have to be one movie; there could be multiple scenes unfolding at one time, increasing the re-ride ability.
