If you could recommend ANYTHING on the Fantasy, it'd be...

One Little Spark...
I will be following along on this thread, as I'm going on the Fantasy in August...and would love insight.

I'd like to see your trip report too. We have the exact same route in August.

First cruise for both me and the kid.

Awesome!!! Well knowing I'd have at least one reader for the trip report makes me consider it alot more strongly... I'll have to invest in a note pad and pen and take some notes to remember everything for a good thorough report for ya :)

Edit: Plus with any luck, @sweetpee_1993 will be doing one of her awesome TR's so if mine fails hopefully you'll have hers ;)

My family anticipates my reports now. I'm pretty sure I'll write one. LOL!

On embarkation day all the kids clubs will have Open House. This is your opportunity to see some of the most incredible theming, some of the BEST of what Disney does. You're not a creepster for going in to look around! Go! So my recommendation is specifically for embarkation day. Spend the time to go find the different kids clubs and look around at the facilities. Seriously. Even the hand washer things at Oceaneers Club are super cool. Try it! Be sure to go in Vibe, too. You'll likely find at least one of my kids there. If you ask them if their mom is SweetPee they'll know what you mean & that you're from here. ;) Vibe is stinkin' awesome. I want to hang out there! Even the neon entrance tunnel....very reminiscent of the rainbow tunnel at the old Imageworks.

I recommend seeing as much of the ship as possible. As @sweetpee_1993 mentions, take advantage of the first day to see the kids clubs. I went with my boys to register them at Vibe, and I thought it was very cool. By joining one of the detective agencies (I'm a big Muppets fan, so I joined that one), you get sent around the ship to look for clues. That's a great chance to see all of the artwork along the stairways. Eat lunch in all of the different places on board. Wander around, just to see the ship from different angles. It's so well done throughout.

Most importantly, after all of that exploring, take a minute while you're sitting in a deck chair with a drink, a breeze, and yet another fantastic view to appreciate the fact that you are there. It makes for a great memory.

Hey, thanks for the shout out, @Billy6! I just read your report, and it is a really fun read. Fellow Chicagoan here, too.

Billy's report reminds me that you don't want to miss Palo. We could not have enjoyed that meal more.

My pleasure sir! I haven't seen many if any Fantasy TRs except ours...

I haven't finished mine though... But thanks for the compliments...

Keep in mind... Last time I cruised, I was kids-club aged! How crazy is that? First year I cruised I did the Oceaneer's Club, second time I did the Oceaneer's Lab. Too much fun! I've seen pictures of the Fantasy kids clubs though and they look AWESOME! And very different from the ones I played in on.... The Magic? The Wonder? For some reason I can't remember now.
I'll definitely keep that in mind and check out the clubs on day 1. And lol! That would be super creepy if I just popped out of nowhere and knew who your boys were, even though they didn't know me. :P

Actually, that's happened to me when I was with them in Vibe during Open House. A fellow cruiser walked up and said "SweetPee?". We were all shocked. But then they thought it was cool that someone recognized me. LOL!
