If you could change one thing about each theme park at WDW, what would you change?

I see your point, but it's just that is how the majority of the rides are. There needs to be more thrill

Not at Epcot. Epcot wasn't designed to be "thrilling." It was designed to show guests how new technology works and how it will affect the future, basically. Which is perfectly fine, if the attractions are updated at LEAST every 6 or 7 years. It's when you leave something like Energy or Imagination around for way too long that things start to feel boring and sucky.

Another thing for Epcot is obviously World Showcase.. Which is meant to show us the different cultures and locations of different countries, with some attractions that represent the country. Even with Frozen coming to Norway, they're still expanding on Norwegian culture with the upgrade.

The same can go for the other parks various themes, even though they still offer a handful of thrills.*

If you don't want those two unique options, then by all means.. There are three other parks you can go to for thrills. Not every single theme park needs a butt-load of thrill rides. Disney's main draw is families. They have to work towards that area.

Universal draws in teens and young adults. Hence, thrill rides. There you go.

MK - Update Tomorrowland, and keep updating it.
AK - Add Australia to the massive area between Asia and Africa.
DHS - Change entire layout. Too hard to plan anything.
EPCOT - Change it back to the original themed areas with the original logos. I miss the old EPCOT so much!

MK: Adventureland needs something new.
Epcot: Imagination pavilion is lacking any imagination.
HS: besides all the things they are fixing - I also hate the stage that blocks the Chinese Theater.
AK: Dinorama for sure

For me it is the lack of attractions/rides.

MK - Utilize your space better. There is no reason they can't re-open the boat ride around the castle area. They shouldn't have dropped Snow White, even with the Mine Train ride. I know the idea is to have more open space, but you can do this and still put more rides in there. It spreads things out a bit. Fantasyland in Magic Kingdom compared to Disneyland is not even close. They should have never dropped Toontown either.

Epcot - Don't dumb it down. It isn't Magic Kingdom, and I am not saying MK is dumbed down or childish because it is my favourite, but keep it the way the core of people like it.

DHS - More rides. Update the Backlot Tour.

AK - More rides. You can still enjoy the open feeling by adding some more animal rides. Even with a Disney spin. Jungle Book, Lion King, Bambi, etc. all would make great dark rides and still keep with the theme of animals.

Why can't Disney also draw in that croud?? It would increase the amount of people that want to go there.

I'd enjoy a complete restoration of classic rides that are still SO good.

MK - Carousel of Progress, complete refurb along with a Tomorrowland face lift. Remove Stitch and completely new "thrilling" experience, perhaps similar to Alien Encounter. Removal/Refurb of Buzz Lightyear, perhaps with a new Buzz themed attraction. It's a good concept, but old.

EPCOT - Horizons "Reborn" or something, or at least a complete refurb of Universe of Energy, Imagination Pavilion Restored, and a return to the "old" style Test Track with improvements.

DHS - New show to replace LMA and Little Mermaid. Addition of Aladdin show from DL.

AK - Beastly Kingdom. A fixed Yeti.

MK: I wish they'd add couple nice restaurants inside the park.
Epcot: I wish they'd add a couple more countries in WS and take out the innovations and energy ride and add a different ride or 2.
HS: I think the additions of Toy Story Land and Star Wars Land are great there. Maybe add Cars Land one day. Also would like to see them add nice restaurants.
AK: Same as above I'd like to see the addition of a nice restaurant or 2. More rides in DinoLand as well instead of the carnival like area.

What a great thread idea!

Just one question: A number of people have commented on wanting the Leave a Legacy monoliths removed. I can almost swear that awhile back I read somewhere about how they were going to remove them. But maybe that was just someone dreaming out loud. Has anyone else heard that this might be happening?

MK - Open up more of Cinderella Castle to the public as some sort of walk through attraction or show.
EP - Add a new country to WS. Any country will do but Russia would be very cool.
HS - A teen sort of hangout like they have on the DCL themed from shows that they like. It could even be a show like Disney Junior but with Teen Beach Movie and High School Musical and Descendants and stuff like that.
AK - An animal section with perhaps a show or a ride that had animals from somewhere other than Asia and Africa. An Australian section would be very cool.

May I ask why you think that?

Crowds. Crowds. Crowds.

I literally just got back from Universal Studios and even though right now is supposed to be ONE of the slowest times of the year for theme parks.. Both parks were PACKED. The wait times said "20" minutes for most, yet you actually waited between 30 and 40 minutes for everything. Escape from gringotts said "10 minutes" but I waited in that standby before.. Where that line started.. It was definitely a 40 minute wait. Walk-ons were Simpsons, Terminator, Shrek, Mummy, Seuss Landing attractions and Jurassic Park. Everything else was a long wait. Despite what is posted.

The same can easily go for Disney. Especially in the summer and winter during crowded seasons. Disney doesn't need more park guests.

I would do these things:

At Disney Animal Kingdom, fix the yeti.

At Epcot, add a parade.

At the Studios park, find room for Walt Disney: One Man's Dream. That is important to me, to offer today's kids the chance to know where "Disney" comes from.

At the Magic Kingdom, add an adventurous attraction in Adventureland.

MK: Remove the castle stage and re-plant the big trees in the middle of the Hub.

EPCOT: Revert back to its original "edu-tainment" style (bring back Horizons, World of Motion, original Imagination, kick Nemo out of Living Seas and Frozen out of Norway).

DHS: Open a new animation-based experience, a la DCA's Animation building. I originally would've said to keep Muppet*Vision 3D open, but @BuddyThomas has confirmed the show ain't going nowhere.

DAK: Detonate Dino-Rama.

MK - make more boring rides like the dwarves mine train coaster to keep the kiddies in long lines and away from the older stuff like splash mountain. Add a frozen ride, that would work!

EPCOT: replace mission space with another star-tours themed ride after the new SW movies come out, maybe flying in the Slave I or something. More shade in the WS as others have said, and while I have no actual suggestion for how to do it, try to limit some of the food smells which aren't so awesome on 90+ degree days when you already feel dehydrated and sick from the heat.

AK - open avatar world already, this park desperately needs a nighttime vibe. If you're ever here in a rain storm my kids loved the primeval whirl with extra wind and water flying in every direction, the lines get really short and they may let the kids just keep going around.

DHS - open up as many buildings as possible with anything at all inside for now. Fill it up later, but much of DHS is a ghost town unfortunately. GET RID OF THE GREAT MOVIE RIDE AND APOLOGIZE TO EVERYONE WHO EVER RODE IT. Maybe we just got a bad tour guide, but everyone in my family absolutely hated everything about this ride, and we're usually glass-half-full people.

Then why are they adding three new lands?? Imagine how much more packed it's going to be once the three new lands are opened. So they can add new lands that will draw way more people, but they can't add one single roller coaster??

MK - Fix Carousel of Progress
EPCOT - Make use of empty and outdated spaces
HS - Close the park until all of the changes are complete
AK - A re-themed Dinoland that revolves around the theme of the DINOSAUR attraction. (Bring the coaster idea back up)
I like the idea for animal kingdom. I think no one will want to go to Hollywood studios while they are adding those lands cause there will be very little there

I'm not involved in this argument but I will say that new lands actually help with the crowds. The larger the park, the more disbursed the crowds get.
