If you could ask Bob Iger one question...

Who would you rather start a small cupcake business with Goofy or Hamm (from Toy Story) ?

What's his favourite Disney themed Ice Cream available at the parks?

No seriously I would ask him why he cannot just add a ride/attraction and not replace an existing one all the time?

my question would be.. why are you Dragging things out.. ? all these new rides and lands could be built in a year instead of three or four..Walt proved this .. why won't you spend the enormous amount of money that you have and get things done in a timely manner.. please stop being a bean counter and start being a dreamer..

Why did you invest billions in parks in foreign countries instead of massively improving and adding a fifth gate to your biggest theme park cash cow in Orlando?

You answered your own question. As it stands right now, it doesn't need help as it's the most visited tourist destination in the world. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Don't get me wrong, I love WDW, and they are definitely raking in the cash, but there are always areas that can be improved, and it doesn't always seem like Disney is willing to do much more than band-aid fixes or "reskinning" current areas/attractions. I think this board is proof that longtime WDW guests have been getting frustrated at some of the deficiencies at the parks that maybe would have been addressed differently 20-30 years ago then they are now, and this could eventually lead to these people not giving WDW their $ any more. To me, it doesn't make business sense to assume that people will keep coming to WDW even as the quality of the experience they are getting may be continually decreasing. As for myself, I haven't been enough to care about alot of the negative things that regulars see, but even I have to shake my head when large buildings sit empty and unused for years, or good attractions are mothballed or replaced with something much less than the original-these are all things that the $5 or $10 billion spent on parks in China could be allocated to.

I'd ask him if his interest is to make money or have a place that makes everyone feel like a kid again. Seems he has gone further away from making you feel like a kid at the park and more into what makes money. Most corporations are about money and so is Disney. But Disney in the past rarely sacrificed the WDW experience for money. And it seems it's going more in that direction.

Just because Walt built a very simple park in a year doesn't mean that the same thing applies today. None of the high tech things existed when it first opened. The AA's that were used were built along with the park which was basic and were either water rides (Jungle Cruise) (Rivers of America) or simple Stage Coach ideas found in Frontierland, or spinner rides like Dumbo or The Rockets or Movies, etc. Nothing even close to the technology that is demanded today. Epcot was built shortly after Walt's death and it took 3 years, not counting planning to build it. All being built at the same time. 3 years. I just don't understand how anyone can think that they can put up quality attractions on swamp land in some unrealistic time frame.

There really weren't many things there in the opening that weren't basic carnival based things.

And that also doesn't take into account that building a park that's not opened yet is presumably much easier than building something within a park that is one of the most visited sites in the world.

Why so very little love for the Disney Afternoon? Every time Scrooge is out there's always a line. Every time Chip and Dale appear in their Rescue Ranger garb, like they did at the AK DVC event last month there's always a line. Every time people see my vast collection of Ducktales shirts they rant and rave about how cool they are and ask me where I got them. So why have you totally forgotten about a part of Disney that actually helped bring their animation department back to prominence and was a huge piece of a whole generation's childhood. Just askin'.

It also doesnt take into account the regulations that are in place today that were not there when DL was built.
