If Walt was still alive...

Just as with professional sports, the business game has changed. You can't just start an idealistic business and expect it to succeed nowadays. You have to answer to so many more people, namely stockholders. While I think the company mantra still mostly holds true, the prices have skyrocketed and the overall pristine nature of the parks (CM attitudes, attraction maintenance, cleanliness, etc.) has dulled a little bit and we're all starting to see the light patina on the Disney product. Universal Orlando's progress as late has thrown all of this into sharp relief.

So while Walt would still probably be proud of the company as a whole, I think he'd get back to basics on all of the little things that originally made the park so great, and that starts with cast members and show. As for the costs though - probably not a lot he could do about that - it's just the "price of progress" in an ever more demanding business world.

In regard to the title of this thread - "If Walt was still alive..." - (he'd be 111, btw), I think the whole Company would have taken a "slightly" different path.
If Walt actually returned from the grave today, I think he'd say, regarding the Company, society, and the world in general...
"I've been gone for almost 50 years and this is it...??? WT*?!?!?!?!?!"

With all due respect, if he returned "from the grave" today he'd be saying something along the line of "braaaaaiiiiinnnsss"

WDW - he would love the direction with updates that have been done. Believe he would like the nighttime show with the animated images displayed on the castle.

Epcot - He would be happy with how the park is set up and the direction that it was set to go in...But he would probably say it's only 60% done needing work to update and flesh out each of the areas better.

AK - he would love. Walt loved animals and showing them in a more natural way.

HS he would like but would feel it wasn't done needing expansions throughout the park. backlot tour he would be disappointed in how it appears today. TOT he would love with all the theming and effects abound. Shows - Indy, LMA, Little Mermaid, and Beauty and the Beast he would enjoy. Osbourn Lights would really make him happy, just walking around and seeing how they really make people smile each night. GMR needs work showing it's age.
