If SGE were changed to Pluto's Great Escape

Would a theming to Pluto's Great Escape make you enjoy SGE more?

  • Yes, it is basically annoying Stitch that ruins everything for me.

would you like the ride better? If everything about the ride stayed the same except the theming was changed to Pluto getting out of a kennel would you like this ride?

Put in a dark ride. Even AE was a waste of space!

No. I don't hate Stitch, I think he is a great character, I hate the ride. So simply swapping characters wouldn't do it for me.

The issue is more complex than what you have made it with the poll. There's nothing wrong with Stitch as a character, and there's nothing wrong with the concept of the ride, as was reasonably demonstrated by Alien Encounter. They just happened to combine into something atrociously bad. Putting Pluto (of all random things) would just be horrifically worse, especially in the context of Tomorrowland.

I'm for it.

or maybe Marvin K Martian. We should buy the rights to him and put him in there. We can use his green dog too.

I'll agree with those that have stated that the problem isn't with Stitch as a character...personally I love the little guy!

The issue is with the attraction which while having a very sophisticated AA just doesn't have a decent attraction to back it up! With Alien Encounter you had a very intense experience that left you guessing throughout the show. With Stitch...it's just watered down and sad.

I'd personally like to see the entire attraction gutted and WDI implement some sort of next gen attraction utilizing the Lilo and Stitch universe.

I love Stitch.

Stitch the character, that is, of the movie. I think he is one of Disney's best character creations in decades!

I suppose Stitch is difficult to do right: make him too tame, and he loses his edge, that which makes him fun.
Make him too obnoxious, and he is a turn-off.

Stitch is a bit like Donald Duck, another character that is difficult to do right. The early cartoons, the Carl Barks stories - these were perfect. Other incarnations of Donald throughout the years have been less succesful.

So, one does not need to replace Stitch, he just needs to be done just right to be hilarious and adorable.

As for Stitch or Pluto in Tomorrowland: neither belongs there. :zipit:

why would Pluto be in Tomorrowland, needing to escape a kennel? :lookaroun

Stitch is fine. Your poll didn't include a choice for "I like it the way it is." :)

Stitch stinks, the ride stinks, and it has always been a stinkfest.

Mission to Mars, Alien Encounter, Stitch......BORING!!!

Sit in a round room, look at a screen, wait for your chair to shake.

Big freakin' deal.

Scrap it all and start fresh.

It's time to scrap the whole building and start all over. Tomorrowland needs a complete reboot. It's never going to be as great as it was in the mid-90's, but that doesn't mean it can't be a great land again.

The ride is pretty horrible. The idea is good, but not so much as a little kid ride. I liked it a lot more when it was an Aliens theme.

I agree with Mr.EPCOT and the others that said the problem isn't with Stitch, it's the show itself that's the problem.

I think there are only two viable options. One would be to gut the building and create a completely different attraction from the ground up.

The second would be to make a new theater show using the same basic infrastructure, but make it a little more cutting edge and have better re-ridability. I think the biggest shortcoming to ALL versions of the show, dating back to the Flight To The Moon, is that they're exactly the same show every single time.

If Disney would use random or rotating show programs, like Tower of Terror, or even incorporate live, interactive elements similar to Turtle Talk or Laugh Floor it would increase the benefit of return visits.
