If and When Apple Buys Disney, Will Parks Finally Improve?

Apple is already making a killing on media by being the gateway middle-man with their iTunes Store. Is it worth the additional risk to also make money on the production of Disney media and all the added complexities of suddenly being in the travel business? Doesn't make sense to me.

I would love to see what an Apple-sponsored future world pavilion would include. Something that covers the history of man's relationship with machines and computers would be fascinating (Tron tie-in potential or SE-style dark ride?). But I don't see how they could impact the culture and direction of TDO too much just by purchasing them.

I don't think Apple is interested in creating the content, just distributing it and taking a piece of every distribution, as well as selling the delivery mechansim. So I don't see them buying or becoming a creator of media content.

Apple is losing it's "wow factor" they once had with product releases... they can stay in their own playground
Honestly the more I read this discussion the more I realize the current similarities in the two companies. I think many would argue that Disney has lost it's "wow factor" they once had with creating new groundbreaking attractions. I think both companies have entered a current period of maturity where they seem to be coasting along with what they currently have. I also think both companies will have some great things coming on the horizon though.

It would be a nice shot in the arm to see Apple throw some sponsorship money into EPCOT even if there is no "acquisition" ...but I think any rumors or suppositions are just pure speculation...but it IS on my wish list!

I also looked up companies google owns, if I had to choose, I think google woulv be a better owner for Disney.

I see Apple as the better fit for Disney. Apple has long focused on creative users. Their products strive for quality, aesthetics, and a seamless user experience, even though competing products provide no competitive pressure in these regards. Sounds like Disney, at least once.

Google is more about the bleeding edge, and if things are a little broken or not user-friendly as a result or get discontinued in less than a year then so be it. Google is like one of the theme parks that compete to build the biggest, fastest coaster.
