If and When Apple Buys Disney, Will Parks Finally Improve?

I think it would be as much of a P.R. problem for Apple as logistical one. Apple doesn't make massive hard ware systems that run huge infrastructure projects that a complex like WDW needs to stay up and running, they make cute phones and consumer level lap top/desk tops. It's like saying Apple makes snow shovels that then sell to lots of individuals for personal use, but companies like Sperry/Unisys make snow plows for the hand full of companies/governments that need do operate on a massive scale
If this was anywhere in the realm of possibility Apple would just continue to use Windows. You're bringing up a non-issue that has already been discussed.

None of what you've said makes any sense, and where has this been discussed before? I just want to make sure you're not lying

I did, and I adding something relevant that you can't seem to understand, you should really just stick to recounting Disney trivia to people
You are the one who doesn't seem to understand that this has been discussed and that Apple themselves have used Windows systems? You haven't pointed out anything new.

Interesting rumor. I've got my own sources though and I think, don't quote me on this, that Nathan's famous hot dogs may be making a move to add Disney to its corporate umbrella. I, for one, am salivating at the potential synergy with Casey's. :hungry:

If you look at it from the perspective of what does each company have to gain, there is very little for each company to gain. If Apple didn't buy Pixar, why would they buy Disney?

I'm not talking about software, I'm talking about the hardware plus the P.R. of it, the way it would look to the public and the business world. Apple has always struggled against this perception of being for "personal" use, they've made a ton of money doing that, but next to the IBM's of the world their product is small scale. Disney is not small scale, they are very big, and rely on big time technology to operate.

So if Apple were to buy Disney, and the Apple CEO sits down with CNBC, the first question they would be asked is "So what were you guys think buying a company like Disney, which completely dependent on technology the Apple Company doesn't make?" and there would be no good answer to that question. It would be like the people who make Smart cars were to buy NASCAR, they would just end up looking like idiots getting involved with something they really don't know anything about

We can talk all we like, but there's not much about this rumor other than the article by an apparently bored analyst....

It is a non-issue because only people unaware of how companies operate care. Apple Stores used to run on hardware and software not made by Apple and it was never an issue. Film productions use a variety of tools, and that includes the company that for years was headed by Steve Jobs, and that company was even trying to sell film production hardware and software. It seems doubtful that iTunes, iCloud and everything else Apple runs online is powered by a bunch of Mac minis. In terms of ride control systems, those are typically not created by the operator or even the conceptual design, but the ride manufacturer. Walt Disney Imagineering likes to mess with those systems, but doing so also opens Disney up to liability issues (see California Screamin'). So unless such a hypothetical acquisition would also get Disney back into ride manufacturing, it is again a non-issue.

Oh, and the people who make SMART Cars make Formula One cars...
