If WDW ever decide to have their own Fire Service, count me in. Failing that, I'd probably be shoved into the UK (English) pavilion on account of my soft Glaswegian accent although given that I worked in security (nightclub steward) for twelve years I might get to throw the undesirables out of WDW, wouldn't that be fun?

For years I've always wanted to be one of those parade people who works on Main Street. The ones who stand in the middle of the street and play hula hoops and stuff with the kids before the parade starts. I just love the ambience on Main Street and can't think of a better job than working right in the middle of it.

I'd actually enjoy any job related to the parade. Even being one of those people who tells the floats when to come out would be fun.

I was in Guest Relations last trip to try and resolve a problem with my AP. The ladies behind the counter suggested I should get a job with them since I knew so much about what needed to be done to correct my problem.

Sadly, a job with Disney is not in my future. I have a medical condition that requires wearing a beard. The "Disney Look" doesn't allow beards.

Well... Except for Joe Rhode, but I don't think I'd qualify for special treatment the way he does!

A few years ago, we were riding the tram from the parking lot to TTA when my nephew's hat blew off. When we arrived at the TTA, we were surprised to see a CM standing there smiling with the hat in his hand. My DH decided that would be the perfect job for him - a Disney Hat Retriever!

Personally, I want to be the Quality Control Inspector for the Dole Whip dispensers. :D

My dream Disney job would be archiving at the animation library in Burbank, but if we're talking Florida, I think that being one of the travel agents who book vacations would be the amazing. You'd get to help excited Disney lovers like us plan their vacations all day.

My dream is to be a CM. I've always told people that I could be a street sweeper for the rest of my life at the Magic Kingdom, and I would be the luckiest guy on earth. I truly feel that way.

I always thought it would be nice to work in the shop on Main Street that sells watches. I guess because I've had lots of jeweler experience. Or a hostess.

But what I would really want to be is the person that counts all that money everynight. :)

I'm pretty sure Johnny Depp isn't a Disney CM.

As for those who play Captain Jack at WDW, I have no idea if they have real or prop beards... But trimming to suit the part wouldn't work for me either [or becoming young enough....]

They do have their own fire service, it is just named under the Reedy Creek Improvement District group. But they are Disney employees. I have actually watch them fight a fire along I-4 a couple decades ago. It was a pretty scary fire. They just dug ditches and let it burn. I guess water on a forest fire in 100F temps is moot. I'm with you i rather work behind the scenes, i would love to work in there education division or their environmental divisions. Failing that give me a boat. ;)

I have a friend and co-worker that has a beard for a medical condition. He is a HVAC guy. All he had to do was go to first aid and have them put it in the system. I can find out more if you would like.

Registration at one of the resorts, or anything in the MK. Actually, we plan on going to Florida at retirement and hopefully getting jobs there.

No need to rush... I wouldn't be looking to start for 5-10 years [depending on when I retire].

But I would be interested in knowing if they'd allow a beard for medical reasons in a front-line position.
