idea for a couples night out

my father, his gf, my brother, myself and my boyfriend will be in WDW sept 19th - 26th staying at Pop Century. My boyfriend and I are going to take one night where it is just the two of us. I am 22 and he is 25. We aren't really interested in pleasure island, just a nice comfortable fun night for the two of us. I am the Disney expert of the 2 of us (this will be my 14th trip) but i have never gone with a significant other. him and i have dated off and on for 5 years and now its serious (i actually have heard him telling people how he wants to propose to me in wdw but thats not something im going to dwell on lol). So I know many of you are creative and have good ideas to share so what would be something good for us to do? we were thinking about a nice evening at world showcase and a nice dinner but i don't know. i need some ideas thanks guys!:wave:

As I've always said, there are many places in the WSC to have a romantic time......our favorite is sitting down with a glass of wine outside of Chefs de France at one of the bistro tables....also grabbing a quick refreshment from the Norway vender (who is on the main path) and then sitting down for some alone time on the path closer to the lake is a favorite.....we love these times...not because of the drinking, but because it gives us some "adult" time in the parks....

I guess when you want to be with someone it really doesn't matter where you are or what you're doing....it only matters that you're with that someone...

WS is always a romantic choice. If you are looking for other options, you can try these, too.

1. If you like walks, head over to MK and ride a couple of your favorite rides in the early evening. Take the boat hire to the Grand Floridian and grab dinner at Narcoosee's. Try to time it so you are finishing up about 20 minutes before the fireworks. After dinner, take the stroll from Grand Floridian to the Poly along the beach. If you time it right, you whould be walking between the Wedding Pavilion and Poly as the fireworks go off. Should be a pretty good moment. Then grab the resort monorail back to MK and grab a bus to either Boardwalk or back to the hotel.

2. Take a bus to MGM. Hop in a ride a couple rides if you like. Then take the Boat Hire to Boardwalk as it gets dark. Take in the Sunset along the Boardwalk or Beach & Yacht Club side. Then grab dinner either at one of the resorts or take a nice stroll to Epcot and enter WS at night. It really has a great atmosphere. Try and get a seat at the Bistro de Paris. It is expensive, but the atmosphere is second to none. Spend some time in WS, and end the evening at Mexico to watch I:ROE. As the night ends, walk the long way around WS. As you do, the crowds will thin and you will have an almost empty WS to yourselves to stroll through. Make the stroll back to the Boardwalk, and end the evening along the water. You can hop a bus to DTD and then to Pop.

One thing to check for Epcot is their EMH. If you would like to spend a relaxing evening in WS, make sure it is not the night with EMH. The park will still be very crowded at night, somewhat destroying the romantic atmosphere.

We just love Fulton's in the Marketplace, you can also try Captain Jacks both are great and when you are finished take a nice walk and look in all the nice shops especially where they blow the glass work:slurp: :sohappy:

we love to hang out around dtd. we eat a nice dinner at fulton's or potrobello then do some shopping (sometimes real, sometimes window) the we head to ghiradelli's for dessert and sit over by the water. it's really romantic for us anyways.

when I used to live and work at disney, I would frequently go behind the house of blues on the west side and look out over the water alone...

well, this past may my boyfriend and I went to disney for a quick trip and saw a concert at hob... after the show he and I went behind the building and looked at the water and the lights of pleasure island.. it was really romantic. especially for me because I could remember being there alone and lonely all those years before.

I like that spot a lot because it's always so quiet and no one ever goes back there. I guess it's not a "typical" romance spot.. but for me it's special. and I just gave away my special spot! haha.

Idea for couples night out? Why not a couples night in... :eek: :lookaroun

Ok, I enjoy Epcot at night. Pick a country, any country...

Or, hanging out at the Poly. A walk near the beach or sipping Mai Tais upstairs at Ohana...

With 2 little one's, I almost forgot what Couples Night Out was.... :D

If you've heard that he plans to propose at WDW, then maybe for the couple's night out, you should pick the place that you would most want to be proposed to at.

Of course, if he doesn't whip out the ring there, then your evening might be ruined. :lol:

Why not plan a fun night starting over at Fantasia Gardens Mini Golf?

After that, you can take a nice walk over to Beaches and Cream to split an ice cream sundae, then walk along the Boardwalk towards Epcot and watch the Illuminations fireworks from the bridge. Top thenight off with a nice boat ride around the Boardwalk area and ove rby the Swan and Dolphin hotels.

It's a great relaxing, yet very FUN way to spend a nice night together.

I think the next time we go, we'll try to spend a little more time in WS at night. Something about it is so relaxing and romantic. We had watched RoE one night, but didn't really linger afterward...but walking over to the Boardwalk was nice. Now I have some ideas for out next trip :D

I wouldn't mind checking out the Boardwalk myself. How do you walk from EPCOT to there? Just go through the International Gateway?

Yep, just take the International Gateway and walk a little ways and you are there.....
I think they also have a boat that will take you there, but I have generally walked so I'm not quite sure about that one

haha well from what i have heard he's set on doing it during wishes, typical, but i would still love it. even if he proposed on splash mountain i would love it! (actually thats a good idea, you know propose as your getting your photo taken on the big drop :lol: ). but im not a picky girl. i know his moneys tight so i told him even one of those gold mickey rings from the world of disney with the fake diamonds would be a great ring for me <3 well i have a silver one that i paid 22 dollars for, and i walked in the other day and he was sizing it to where it would fit on his hand, and i said "what are you doing?" he said "oh um nothing i was just checking something" hahah. so whether its a real diamond or a silly mickey mouse ring, or wishes proposal or splash mountain, its all going to be memorable to me haha.

thank you guys for all your great ideas!!! i think WS is a great idea, but i didnt even think about taking a boat or anything and watching wishes from the other resorts! you guys are great! :sohappy:

I would head to Mexico and eat at San Angel. That whole pavillion's theme cannot be beat for romantic atmosphere.

Then again, you may not like mexican food, but the margaritas cannot be beat!

lol my boyfriend loves mexican food. thats all he wants to eat. but then again they have "mexian food" he likes "american mexican" food out of the box off the shelves at the grocery store lol.
