I wish the Japanese was taking over WDW, now THEY know how to build a run a Disneypark! These new signs are just the first stages of the hostile Chinese take over of Walt Disney World.

Yup, just when I drive onto WDW property, it looks like I’m on the way to the airport or Autobahn…The blue looks so much better than the 90’s purple and red…
Both would still be travel adventures in their own right(s).Yup, just when I drive onto WDW property, it looks like I’m on the way to the airport or Autobahn…
I find it amazing that people think traffic sign design and their budget approval get anywhere near Chapek's desk let alone D'Amaro
It’s not just traffic signs. It’s the entire visual identity of the flagship resort.I find it amazing that people think traffic sign design and their budget approval get anywhere near Chapek's desk let alone D'Amaro
Can you clarify what you mean? It’s not just traffic signs. It’s the entire visual identity of the flagship resort.
Yeah, but when you’re the head honcho, and earning all those outlandish bonuses, that comes with the territory. Baseball managers and football coaches aren’t playing the game, but if the team isn’t playing well, they’re the first heads on the chopping block. No sympathy from me.For some reason people think the CEO is involved in all decisions, when it's likely he's barely aware of even some of the larger ones. People love blaming him (and of course some of the IP shoe-horns and inability to build an original attraction are ultimately at his feet due to the overall IP mandate) but the vast majority of these decisions are happening multiple levels below him and if you asked him about it he'd probably have no idea what you were even talking about.
I would assume that he means the signage is a piece of a much broader identity system for the resort, of which wayfinding is only one component. So, while folks at higher levels aren’t necessarily concerned with the fabrication of these signs, they should have at least some awareness of the WDW brand and its proposed expression across a variety of media. Can you clarify what you mean?
The traffic signs were not stand alone pieces. They were part of a package of elements that also included things like the Welcome signs, Transportation and Ticket Center colors and signs, and Magic Kingdom toll booths which have also been changed. The traffic signs are a part of a larger project. Can you clarify what you mean?

The old signs? Probably because that was what was en vogue in the 90s for kids. Why do people keep equating theming to looking like a 90s childs bedroom?
Depends. We need a sizable number of people to tell us that road signs don't matter, or, are part of a conspiracy to control us.I am really hoping we can keep this thead going as long as the original Coroniavirus thread!!!
To be fair, if you inject a road sign into your bloodstream, you might very well attract magnets.Depends. We need a sizable number of people to tell us that road signs don't matter, or, are part of a conspiracy to control us.
While it's true road signs don't matter to me, I am open to exploring the possibilities that they are indeed part of a conspiracy to control us.Depends. We need a sizable number of people to tell us that road signs don't matter, or, are part of a conspiracy to control us.
Personally I never look at them so it makes no difference to me..........Depends. We need a sizable number of people to tell us that road signs don't matter, or, are part of a conspiracy to control us.
