I wonder what Beast's castle is going to be like?

I'm just so excited about this I could explode. I actually have a miniature village set just like those shown at DL. They were limited pieces and my dear dear husband quietly collected and hid all 9 pieces over 7 years (it took that long for them all to come up for auction). Then he sprung it all on me for a Christmas gift. I cried like a baby! CAN'T WAIT to see it in real life!!!!!

I wonder if the window will be an actual window--I always thought it would be a window into a projected image or diorama, so that they could utilize bold fantasy colors and landscapes "outside" of it. I thought the environment would be completely enclosed a la Mexico pavilion.

In any event, thanks--assuming you're correct, and it sounds good to me, that's the best description of the entire area/experience that I've read. Hopefully you've got good info!

They could make real windows, then just put like a box around it, that way they could make it dark Ah La the movie

I don't know why there's been so much speculation about the windows, since the concept art clearly shows stained glass . . .

This is slightly off topic, but I'm wondering...
Are we going to reach a point in the next few months (March '11 or so) where essentially ALL the exterior work will be done with this and LM and we'll have a situation like HM at Disneyland in the '60s where we're all seeing the outside while the REAL work goes on inside? And do you think they'll take down any sections of wall so you can see the actual exteriors?
Sorry if this is a "noob"ish question, but this is the first time since I've been a true WDW fan that there has been this kind of construction in the MK.

TOTALLY off subject (lol) - LOVE your avatar? Is that a boxer? Your boxer? I have a 9 year old female boxer named Shiloh. They are great dogs! Very pretty!

Yeah, boxers are awesome. They've got such lean elegant bodies attached to sad/funny Emmett Kelly-type faces. I love them!

I am positively giddy with excitement waiting for this!!! My daughter (22) and I have watched the BB movie over and over since purchasing it... again on DVD. I actually cried at the ballroom scene because as I sat next to her, it brought me back to memories of a 3 year old little girl wearing a Belle nightgown sitting on my lap proudly declaring Belle was her favorite because "her hair looks like mine.. it's brown". Since that time she has received something "Belle" at every Christmas and Birthday.
We both sit in anticipation for this newest expansion to open. It doesn't matter if the castle is big or small. We will be happy to just walk the streets with Belle and the Beast.

On another note...... wouldn't it be cool if they did one side of the castle sunny and happy and then other side enchanted???? Yeah that would be awesome!!!!!!!!!!! :)

Yes. He is a boxer I adopted 18 months ago. He is between 8-11 years, they were not sure of his age. He has been an awesome dog and goes to the office with me every day where he gets lots of love.

Yeah, see, you're never going to get a purple starlit sky unless it's a theatrical effect--to step into the animated film, that's what I'm hoping for.
A more advanced version of the ceiling in Mexico sorta thing.

Call me crazy but it only looks like painted concept art and we can't really tell if there will be a fake view outside real glass, stained glass, or a real view out of real windows...

How about we wait to see what is actually constructed instead of trying to figure it out from concept art, which, if we take history into account, never truly depicts how the area will really look.. :)

That would be awesome! I wonder if they'll do a transformation effect in/around the castle, sort of like what they do in the Beast's Library at the Animation Tour.

I don't think there is going to be a point where we aren't seeing work being done. Once the buildings are up and they start working on the inside, your going to have a whole outside team doing rockwork and creating the grounds and waterfalls, etc.

Concept art is usually pretty accurate. Check out EE's concept art, its almost spot on perfect:
