Trip Report I Was LIVE - creating some new Disney memories

Why heelloooo there (said in the voice of the dinosaur puppet at the video before the Dinosuar ride in Animal Kingdom) -You've all just done the voice haven't you? I know you have. Don't deny it. I know if you didn't, you are now going back to do it!

Anyhow, it's those little things that have kept me going whilst waiting for this trip, which is now almost here, and I'm guessing you are here as you fancied a bit of Disney magic too - well I can't say I blame you I would do exactly the same thing if I were where you are right now.

I absolutely LOVE Disney, i could literally talk about it forever and I mean forever!
I check the Disney news every day and if someone is willing to talk about Disney who am I not to join in.

Prior to this trip I've kept myself amused making window decorations and a countdown and reading @Tuvalu & @Doc Disney trip reports which as you know come quite frequently. I've also passed the last year watching Jo & Ashley SRYS on you tube until they announced no more videos for a while which literally crushed my Wednesday and Sunday's. :(
I met them last year but they now have a family to plan for so I fully understand - but these days of the week just aren't the same anymore.

So who am I?
I'm Tracey, As I've already said Disney obsessed, want to live in Cinderella castle (who wouldn't? - why won't they let me? ) etc etc.
Myself and my husband Chris are off to Disney for 14 days from tomorrow - yes tomorrow - flying from the UK and arriving around 5pm
This will be our 20th, 2 week plus holiday here (once in 1996 and then every year since 1998) we rack up 297 days in POR during this trip. As those of you who have read my previous reports will know I absolutely LOVE this resort and will get to a whole year of my life here.
It's my 2nd home, as soon as I arrive I beam with happiness and normally cry at actually being there, not just looking at those pictures on my iPad.

Here I am in 2015 - this is one of my favourite photos from last year.

This year my brother Mark and his wife Claire join us. They were meant to join us last year but it had to be postponed but this year we will all be together.
It's their first year staying in a Disney resort so I hope they love Riverside as much as me. My brother has been to Disney 4 times before & his wife 3 times but they have never stayed in Disney. They are in for a real treat!

My brother and I get on so well together so I think this will be another holiday packed full of great memories.

So what else is planned?
Lots of ice cream - those of you have read my reports before will know that I have to have an ice cream a day when on holiday - more if I can :)
We have a keys to the Kingdom tour booked. Myself and Chris did this in 2013 but have booked again so Mark & Claire can do it too
And I have a meet up with Nicole, @prfctlyximprct Megan @Doc Disney planned. Well we were all there the same time so we couldn't miss the opportunity to meet so have formally planned it so we didn't miss each other. (@LisaBelle we will miss you - I take it the lottery numbers didn't come up)

Tonight we are headed to the airport to stay overnight before our flight at 11.40am tomorrow,
I just couldn't imagine getting in the car on Friday morning, getting caught in a traffic jam and missing my flight - that would be unbearable and something I simply won't let happen, so a hotel room for tonight it is.
We'll meet my brother and sister in law at the hotel and we will probably have a drink in the pub before going to bed.

So for the time being I will get back to packing the final bits and will update in the morning if I can get wi fi at the hotel/airport or you'll get an update when I get home to POR.

BTW I am having problems uploading any photos so this could all go horribly wrong (had internet problems here for days now) - but I'll hopefully be able to get that sorted in Disney - if not this will be the shortest trip report in history!

OMG the countdown that started at 350 odd days is nearly at 1 - I am nearly home in my Disney bubble.

Eeekkkkkk.

Ah thanks mum!
Miss you too - you didn't have to join you can just read it :)

Only problem I've noticed is, if you aren't able to log in most of the photos people post don't show up full-sized. Mum needs to see all the pretty pics...! ;) :)
I've tried to follow so many TR's here all the way through, but, keep getting sooo far behind on another thread...!
Loving your TR so far, and will try my best to keep up...hope y'all are still havin' a BLAST...!!! :)

POR is our favorite resort! :) So far...! ;) Unfortunately, we haven't stayed there since
our first 2 family trips (with our 3 kiddos) in '01 and '04.
Been stayin' at Pop, ASMusic, and AOA since...mostly ASMusic.
We have visited POR since, and oldest DD and SonIL stayed there on their honeymoon in April of '14. Can't wait to get back, hopefully someday soon...! :)

Hi there, good to hear from you.
You should have known it's November so I would be here at some point.
Hope this helps with a daily dose of Disney

Following along also!
Love your live TR so far!

Thank you :)

I have found similar when following other reports - the ones I normally stick with are the ones updated daily, so hopefully you will get to the end of mine - if it's not too boring, ha ha

Hahaaa...!
That's the problem...I find few of them boring, so that makes them even harder to keep up with...!!! :hilarious:
Anyway, thanks for taking the time to do a Live TR, and I'll do my best to keep up...! :)

Sunday 6th November cont.

So the last time I updated I was ready to go to the most magical place on Earth

We just missed a bus at the bus stop so we had a bit of a wait but we amused ourselves - with a gorilla pod photo.

image.jpeg

We waited around 20 mins and a bus finally arrived. We were in our way and we were going to make the welcome show

image.jpeg

Chris is a bit freaked out - lol

Now just please let us in.....

image.jpeg

Someone forgot to change the clocks after they went back last night - another hour in Disney for me :)

We waited with quite a few other people for the welcome show to start

image.jpeg

When it did, tears were in my eyes. I was so happy.
I sung and danced along to that welcome show.
What a great way to start the morning.

As we walked under the tunnel into Main Street a surge of excitement rushed through me.

As we turned the corner there it was Cinderella castle, that's just the most beautiful sight.....

I looked at it and said out loud "I would love to just run over to that castle, pick it up and give it a huge hug" - oops that was not meant to be said out loud.

My sister in law chuckled and said she'd like to see me try.

In that very moment that is how I felt :)

Anyhow, we decided to try to hit Peter Pan first (good job we did as later in the day this was an 85 min wait)

As we rode around I had tears in my eyes again - why can't I just stay here forever?

I think Chris gets used to my silly sayings and emotion in Disney but let's be honest he doesn't get any of that the rest of the year.

I don't think anyone really needs a list of all the rides we've done but I did find this one my brother photo bombed on the barn stormer

I can't wait either. The worst bit is the travelling day as its going to take so long but there's so many new memories to make at the other end :)

Woof! Yes, almost 9 hrs. is quite a long flight.
It's only about 3 hours non-stop from where we live in Austin, Texas, but, it would be about 22 hrs. Each way to drive (much longer for y'all :D ;)). We have never been able to go for more than a week, so even if we drove 11 hrs. a day, we'd only get to spend 2 days in the Parks.
I and our kiddos love to fly anyway (DWifey, not so much  ;)), and we don't wanna' miss any Park time, so fly we do...! :)

We managed to catch the move it, shake it, dance and play it street party

Look - Judy from Zootopia

image.jpeg

And then back to Peter Pan again for our fast pass

And I got the red card.

I did a little victory dance and the guy working there asked if he had made my day - well obviously he had!

image.jpeg

Then we had a parade to watch!

Here is the love of my life, but why is Belle with him? Really :(

image.jpeg

Captain Hook bowed to Princess Tracey

image.jpeg

I hadn't told my brother anything about the parade but both him and Claire loved it, especially the dragon

Next up we are headed to Epcot for a WDW Magic meet up!

I had tears in my eyes reading about your excitement at making it to the Welcome Show and your first view of the castle. I know exactly how you feel because I feel the same way every time. I don't know how Disney does it, but it is one of the best feelings in life.
I can barely contain my excitement thinking about your meet up. I am sooooooo excited. I keep thinking about all of you and wondering if you've met yet!
